It was a decent place to work
Wheelchair Agent- Zone Lead (Former Employee) –  Atlanta, GASeptember 24, 2019
Loved the benefits here. Hard to move up in the company , pay is really low to be a zone lead in this company. Could have better opportunity and more benefits to replace the low pay rate. Co-workers did not follow the rules as they should which caused most of the problem.
Pros
Flight benefits
Cons
Low pay rate, Hard to get time off, Co-workers are hard to work with sometimes.

Toxic
Ramp Agent/Baggage Handler (Former Employee) –  San Diego, CASeptember 17, 2019
Managers are a trio of stooges who seem to ignore issues as long as the numbers are high enough always a bit short staffed and agents that stay are lazy and lack any work ethic. Leads are a bit bossy. The culture is extremely cliquie most of the supervisors got their positions by favoritism. Flight benefits are not worth while.

Worst job ever!
Customer Service (Former Employee) –  Fresno, CASeptember 10, 2019
This job is modern day slavery with minimal pay, and flight benefits that you may not get to use because they will deny your time off. They give you a set schedule then change it every chance they get to do it. They call you in whenever they cant manage their operation correctly. The station manager pockets all the bonuses from working United, Delta, and Frontier contracts, by not hiring the airport services to push wheelchairs for passengers (so employees are responsible to do this). Your benefit is you get to fly free with delta, but its standby and you pretty much always get bump by revenue customers. If you do make it out you may get bumped in another state and if you have to return to work and don't make it is a write up per delta. They will sit you on a computer and after 100 courses throw you out to the wolves at the counter then gates. Good Luck!

Management by far is the worse .. more into gossip than training .
Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) –  Westchester County, NYSeptember 9, 2019
The supervisors are poorly trained,, if management doesn’t like you , you have to do the bulk of the work with very little help. Human Resources is down with the station manager so nothing will ever be corrected their..no snacks for customers with delayed flights. No supply to work with such as boarding passes , pens , paper just to name a few..
Pros
Flights but they kill you with taxes on your tickets
Cons
Pay, flights, time off, you have to find your own coverage

APA agent (Current Employee) –  Atlanta, GAMay 16, 2019
DGS would be a great company to work for if management would listen to their employees and offer them more money. There are a lot changes that needs to be made as to how they run the business. Update old software and equipment.
Pros
Flight benefits (not as good as supervisor’s though)
Cons
Pay

Fast food pays $2 more an hour at BDL with no stress
atw (Former Employee) –  Windsor Locks, CTMay 15, 2019
Always Understaffed, supervisors are just given the job, based on ethnic background , not skills, no postings go out for others to apply. Majority of supervisors are on a power trip for a job they are unqualified for one even throws temper tantrums when told she is wrong.
The process for the job because of background check is a long people need to pay bills find other jobs.
.
You will never get more than the $10.45 an hour , that is not a stating pay with expected increases with time Unless the state raised minimum raise, that is your pay $10.45 an hour.

.Good employees are sucked dry, exhausted from the hours one has to work to just get by while other employees do what they want when they want , no accountability for absences/or lack of performance. They cant even keep managers on a local level, it is a 24 /7 job because of incompetent supervisors
Pros
no matter what you do cant get fired desperate for help $10.45 hr forever.
Cons
after working here you will appreciaite a real company with structure and fairness

Great way to travel
CSA/ Ticket Counter Lead (Former Employee) –  Nashville, TNMay 14, 2019
At the time I was there, it was too much politics, not enough pay and the demand was high. Had the potential to be very stressful and exhausting. Definitely was a great way to travel for free but could have been better benefits.

Low pay equals high turnover and miserable employees
Travel Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) –  Buffalo, NYMay 13, 2019
Everyone was miserable here. You have a set schedule but are also at the mercy of flight delays. If an aircraft on your shift is delayed coming in or going out you have to stay. So having a second job, school, or kids to pick up is very difficult. If you ever complain about the wages or inconsistent schedule you’re met with “well the flight benefits...”

Coworkers gossip and do the minimum while others who actually care about the job and customers they serve go above and beyond to keep and good image and ensure that things run smoothly. There are a handful of employees picking up the slack. You’re replaceable even if you’ve worked there for years. They’ve changed management and the station manager. Nothing helps. Low pay brings low quality workers. Any suggestion to improve operation falls on deaf ears. It’s too bad because flying was wonderful if you could get people to cover your shifts. But then you’d be broke from making minimum wage and not working haha. Everyone wants ready reserve at this station and they refuse to do it. So people could fly and work with more flexibility. Most employees here moved to other airlines at BUF

DGS is no longer Delta
Agent-In-Charge (Ramp) (Current Employee) –  North Charleston, SCMay 12, 2019
Prior to 12/18/2018 DGS wasn't the worst place to work but since the sale of DGS to Argenbright and no longer being a fully owned entity of Delta Airlines, our benefits are quickly going away making travel (the reason we do the job) nearly non-existent. Imputed income, low flight priority etc...

Sorry excuse for an employer.
Customer Service Agent (Former Employee) –  Sioux Falls, SDMay 9, 2019
If you want a job where you aren’t valued, aren’t paid well, and are completely disposable then DGS is the right company for you. They will work you with no regard for anything outside of their company. I had to fight to get time off to go to my grandparent’s funeral. We had to fight to earn more than minimum wage. Finally got it, but then DGS capped how much you could get in a raise. You can’t get more than a $1 raise. Ever. Not $1 at a time, $1 total. At the moment, they allow you to fly standby for free on Delta flights. But they just announced that employees of DGS will soon be losing that benefit too.

This is the worst company to work for. They work you like slaves with No good pay. . The benefits use to be good but now they are fixing it to where it’s getting harder to fly. Not to mention new hires come on with a buddy pass which they go at the bottom of the list.

The job is ok for flight benefits. You don't get no raise. Write u up for coming 1 min late. Sometimes forget to pay. Chance of getting promotion is less.
