Making a critical difference in the lives of our neighbors, Diakon provides services through two sister-organizations: Diakon Lutheran Social Ministries, which operates nine Continuing Care Retirement Communities in Pennsylvania and Maryland, and Diakon Child, Family & Community Ministries, which offers a range of social services for people of all ages, including adoption and foster care, at-risk youth programming and counseling and behavioral health services for children, families and adult individuals.
With “Many Hands”—our dedicated staff members—guided by “One Heart” of compassionate care for others, Diakon each day makes a difference in the lives of children, youths, families and individuals of all ages, fulfilling our more than-150-year-old mission.
Diakon offers a competitive compensation and benefits package for Full-Time and Part-Time employees including medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug coverage. We also offer tuition assistance, generous paid time off, 401(k) plan with employer match, voluntary short-term disability, long-term disability, life insurance and the ability to earn referral bonuses up to $3,000.
