Manager (Former Employee) – Louisville, KY – August 3, 2015
No leadership, no training, management at the field level changed almost monthly. No chance to move beyond an area manager, all upper management jobs given to owners family. Pay always wrong or not getting paid at all
Security Officer/Receptionist (Former Employee) – Atlanta, GA – May 18, 2015
My experience with Diamond was great. Management as well as fellow co workers. Very team oriented and understanding. My site was based in Atlanta but the company has contracts all over the world. This by far is one of the industries top Security companies in my personal opinion
Security Officer (Former Employee) – 1651 s Halsted,Chicago Heights,IL. – April 27, 2015
My employer was Diamond Detective Agency but i was contracted out to Thornridge High School. This was my first time working in a school so dealing with the students was a bit of a challenge in the beginning, but after a while i learned that most of the students were really great kids and was there to really learn something,i've had some moments here and there but on the whole it was a very interesting experience. My co-workers were a great bunch of people to work with, really dedicated.
Site Security Supervisor (Former Employee) – Chicago Heights, IL – February 8, 2014
I worked as a security supervisor for Diamond and I felt like it was a huge step up from some of the other security companies but the pay is terrible and the benefits are almost non-existent for anyone outside the office. The folks that worked in the office that you had to call in to twice a day were fantastic. They were always a huge help and got things done when you needed them. The management caused a few frustrations for me but they were pretty ok, better than most.
Human Resources Coordinator (Former Employee) – Chicago Heights, IL – January 29, 2014
Typical day, recruiting, hiring and new hire orientation for new employees. The management was good, my direct supervisor was easy laid back. Very understanding. The hardest part of the job of course is writing up an employee or terminating an employee. For the most part the job was enjoyable.
Family owned business, close nit organization culture.
Salary was not competitive, expensive healthcare insurance, family owned business
Office Manager (Current Employee) – 1651 South Halsted St, Chicago Height, IL. 60411 – March 28, 2013
Working at Diamond was like working with your best friends. All employees on all levels were friendly, energetic to get he job done and all were willing to put the extra time in. Diamond always looked to promote from within first.
Security Officer (Former Employee) – Chicago Heights, IL – January 4, 2013
All I did was sit at a desk all day, I learned some stuff regarding security, not as much as I would have liked. The mangers are friendly but serious about there work. I didn't have any co-workers on the same shift I was on. The only thing I had to remember was the keys from workers. I liked that I could have some quiet time when people left for the night.
Front end (Current Employee) – Tenn – December 27, 2012
Anytime you see a company with jobs open for a long time or a lot of open jobs....stay away, that company sucks!! Take a look at these companies... G4S, Guardsmark, Allied Barton even this company!! Like I said...lots of open jobs = low pay, you get treated like you are nothing and management is only looking out for themselfs
