341 questions

Mine was a phone interview for a tech position, and some of the main questions were:

• Name a time when you went above and beyond at a previous job?

• Why do you want this position (specifically, at DISH), and/or why do you think it would be a good fit for you?

• What made you decide to apply for a job at DISH?

• Have you read anything/heard any stories that increased your desire to work here? (It was something along those lines.)

• What made you decide to look for a job right now? (Or, why are you looking for work right now?)

There MAY be one more main question I'm drawing a blank on right now, but that was it for the "essay" type questions. The rest were a whole series of yes/no questions, such as:

• Are you OK with being away from home for a week (because the training process requires that)?

• The starting pay is $nn per hour. Are you good with that?

• Would you feel comfortable working in small spaces?

• Would you feel comfortable climbing a ladder (of a certain height that I don't recall)?

• Would you be willing to submit to a drug test?

• Would you be able to make a commute of n miles to work every day?

• Do you feel comfortable having to sell products in addition to [performing the regular installations]? (That was the gist at least.)

• Would you be comfortable working in inclement weather?

And I believe there may have been several more of these yes/no type of questions, but you hopefully get a good idea with this. I do want to state that perhaps it's a good idea to prepare for other questions as well; I am not certain that interviewers (and perhaps in different regions--and definitely for different positions!) don't have their own set of questions they like to ask. This is just what they asked me, and I just interviewed last week.

Good luck to all!

I love it and I have met some of the most amazing people at Dish. The management is great and the atmosphere is perfect most smile and the leadership definitely wants you to succeed and it's not about them so I love everyday that I go in to work and not all the calls are the sweetest but its how you handle which defines the outcome.
