I had great coworkers & nice management. They were all understanding & patient with me while I was learning everything & getting into the rythm since it was my first ever retail job.

A place where you make magic happen, but at what cost

What is the best part of working at the company? They fire and hire people too much. It’s like that company doesn’t know what to do with it cast members everybody that decides the web for Disney just be careful man they’re not the same how they used to be.What is the most stressful part about working at the company? And the team leads this so worried about losing their jobs that they take their frustration out on the cast members. Tell me lying What is the work environment and culture like at the company? For the most part, everybody’s cool, you’re nice you make some really good friendsWhat is a typical day like for you at the company?Very stressful sometimes you don’t know what you’re doing or anything they don’t even know what they’re doing

Loved my team

Working at the Disney Store was an amazing experience, I loved leading my team and interacting with guests. There were so many opportunities to create magical memories.

I have never felt so abandoned in the service industry

I have worked as a server for years, management won't bother to learn your name and the senior servers will treat you awful. There is no such thing as teamwork working as a banquet server at Disney.

Amazing!!

Good management, flexible schedule, great environmentOnly con: Disney adults- kids were never the problem, adults were. I got yelled at several times by customers because they didn’t want to pay for a 25 cent bag

Attractions….ugh

When you get force extended after a 12hr day because park hours get extended “just because “ it leaves a sour taste in your mouth. Very little pay to be treated like a number

It sucks

It sucks don’t do it. It’s not that magical, management plays favoritism a lot. No work life balance it’s business needs first and that’s it. Good benefits

Great fun but long hours

Typically working 10 hours per day, sometimes longer depending on operational needs.Crew privileges are great depending on your department. If you are aiming to travel a lot, DCL is not the best company to choose. The itineraries are always the same and can feel very monotonous

Magical moments and great resume builder

I absolutley loved my time with the Walt Disney World company. I will have memories that will last a lifetime and I wouldn't change me working there at all. This job has helped me get new jobs in the future and grow as a person. I'll be honest, the pay wasn't amazing by any means, but only being 18-21 when I worked there, I made ends meet.

Making the magic

Great perks! Some amazing people to work with. Main Mouse visits frequently. If you can't pull your weight you shouldn't apply. 8 hour days with 1 hr unpaid lunch.

Not a great culture

Management is inexperienced, bullies, miserable and they have no personality. Minority and LBGTQ centered. No place for advancement if you are not a minority.

Pros and cons

Fun for a short term job. Great benefits including free admission to park, comp admission for family and friends, discounts, and insurance. Can be difficult working with guest situations.

The magic is real

Worked Spring and Summer Season. I enjoyed every minute, it was not a forever career for me but was a great time in my life. Would recommend to anyone who loves children

Fun place to work

Disneyland was a fun place to work. Sometimes the days felt slow but interacting with guests made it manageable. Pay is ok not great.Management cares if you’re liked by them; otherwise, expect a yearly check in.

Productive and fun workplace

Disney is a great place to work. You have a good work/life balance, and a good salary too. Also, the benefits are amazing, the work environment and culture are exceptional

Perks are good.

For 17.50 an hour. Not worth the stress or toxic work environment. Good luck trying to move up, even when if you become a lead or trainer management picks their favorites to move up. The company doesn’t care about its employees and considers Ride Ops trained monkeys per a Disney Rep at the negotiating table during the union contract meetings.

Benefits are good, Leadership is awful

I enjoyed working there and it was nice meeting people, but the leadership is lackluster. They are very inconsistent and favoritism plays a huge part in everything. Even if you work hard if you aren't a favorite they will find a way to get rid of you one way or another.
