Mostly great people, but company stumbled badly
Worker (Former Employee) –  Framingham, MAFebruary 12, 2019
After initial success, the company attempted to build a type of game that requires a very large team, working for a very long time, with a very, very large marketing budget. The company did not possess any of those, and yet this course was allowed to proceed. As a result, too many people were hired, too fast. The company spent nearly all of its investment capital in the effort. That game has recently been shut down. The results since have been predictable: layoffs, more layoffs, cash crunches, game shutdowns, employee defections, etc. One hopes that they can turn things around, but the task will be difficult.
Pros
You get to work in the game industry
Cons
The company is currently on shaky financial ground

I enjoyed my time at Disruptor Beam and would recommend the company completely. The company CEO truly care about the employees and the culture was really collaborative and welcoming.
