I dreaded going to work and seeing the residents not receiving proper care. I dreaded having to deal with staff with poor attitudes. The place was constantly short staffed and residents wouldn’t get the care they were suppose to. The upper management would bribe employees to come to work so they didn’t have to come in when staff was short. The one in Tupelo MS is a joke. The other homes around pay more and don’t let the residents suffer from poor care. I was embarrassed to even say I worked there, didn’t take me long to see I didn’t want to be there. I don’t see how some of the staff have been there so long.

Do the owners and administrators actually read these remarks to address the issues and problems?
You can learn the most from those in the trenches. They can make you shine if you believe what the day is needed and follow up and follow through. Godspeed!

Dread and depression. Sometimes sick to my stomach. Aides are pretty much treated like human garbage with unrealistic expectations placed on you every day. The more you care about your residents, the worse you get treated. It's crazy, but true. Very toxic environment.

I dread it. Start getting nauseous 2 days before going back in. Horribly understaffed. No management support. They sit in offices until they come up with extra tasks for us to do. You have the DON, ADON, unit managers, dietary supervisor, medical records, social services all coming at you with tasks during the day that they could complete themselves in about five minutes. All they care about is money, not the residents. As long as paperwork is filled out correctly making them look good they are happy.

The worst place I ever worked the management team is HORRIBLE. They tell you that you are doing something wrong but they don't know what they doing their self . You litterly have no time for a break always under staff well under paid just not even worth your time.

The residents were the stars... the co workers were the weakest link. Mostly bully nurses.
