The first start of vent weaning unit. Heavy patient care work load, but very satisfying to know we weaned so many and sent many home vent free. The hardest part was call outs by fellow respiratory staff, be cause the work load was so heavy. Doctors Hospital was a great place to work for and had a family atmosphere. I learned to become a great nurse and an awesome ICU nurse. My director was awesome and loving and took all her nurses under her wing to help them grow.
