I’ve never met people in one place that are as encouraging and friendly as this staffing agency. The communication has been stellar and very informative. Love it!

It's ok if you like the temporary employment scene that is up to you but for the most part if your available they will place you all over the place even with no previous experience
Staffing Specialist/Recruiter in Moorhead, MN
on August 11, 2021
I was a staffing specialist and have never experienced such a poorly ran staffing service in my 20 + years of HR experience. After leaving the field for a few years, I accepted this position to get back into HR and Oh My!! The office was filthy, walls bare and if I wanted cleaning supplies, a calendar or picture for wall, Doherty would not provide. The area mgr for clients and recruiters in Fargo/Grand Forks/Alexandria has no HR background, she worked at a daycare center. They fill calls all night by recruiters in Phillipines w anyone and want every minute documented. They classify you as exempt from OT, but you have a set schedule. The staff is not HR qualified, they don't use seasoned recruiters, they pay low for kids and older ppl w no HR experience and management is family money and family friends from what I see. Stay away from this company to fill a job or work for them. They are horrible!!!

Very open communication. They made sure the assignment I was placed on was matched to my abilities and preferences. The pay was fair for the job type and location.

Have not sense of work life balance. Work you early mornings, night time, weekends. Management will tell you they are there for you and will help you but in the end they will only look out for themselves. If you can find another stepping stone into HR, go that route.

Basic employment questions

When interviewing I was asked many personal questions. During my final interview, the Vice President made me cry by asking personal family questions. I was later told, after being hired that he does that with everyone. He likes to make people feel vulnerable and make them cry (even guys).
