its a good place to work if you are not the store manager
You will have to no work/life balance at all. You are constantly working 60+ hours on a salary of 48 hrs. I feel like i dont get paid enough and not enough hours to get the task done and have that work/life balance

Working a dollar general was an ok company to work for I just wish they paid their store managers more and I wish they had better benefits. Overall my experience with dollar general wasn’t really bad it just didn’t align with my long terms goals

Prepare to work long hours as a manager due to workload and turnover
Only take this job if this is your only choice. There is never enough payroll to run the store. Staff quits on you all the time due to pay and hours.
