The reason would probably be so you don't have to deal with rude guests anymore and the pay is not as good as it needs to be or at least it wasn't when i worked there.

For Year Round Employees, they are offered health, dental, and vision insurance plus life insurance. Insurance begins on the first day of work. For all employees, Park Perks (discounts mentioned below) are also available. All Employees are also eligible for park passes for all dependents plus day passes for friends and family.
