31 questions about Benefits at DoorDash
What benefits does DoorDash offer?None of the typical benefits that are offered with a job. Of those I mean, a 401K, sick pay, paid holidays, unemployment, medical and dental insurance...however, you are considered to have your own business when you 'Subcontract,' with doordash so you wouldn't normally be given any benefits from them. When you have your own business then you are responsible for acquiring things such as insurance, 401K, etc... However, they offer 20% savings on gas when you deposit money on your doordash card, you have the ability to earn 'overtime,' because there are peak incentives of $1.00 to $3.00 extra a delivery as well. A big benefit is that you are your own boss and make your own hours.

Self employed means employees must pay their own taxes, are responsible for insurance, and do not receive workers comp. Has anyone worked here long enough to file their taxes? If so, did you find working here worthwhile after paying all the taxes? You will have to pay more taxes during tax time than if you had a regular job because nothing is deducted each week and you pay Social Security/Medicare taxes at the end. But you can claim mileage and expenses. But if you have children and normally get a large refund (EITC) it likely won't hurt you nearly as much. It really depends on your situation but many people are unaware about this.
