Stress free
Delivery Driver (Current Employee) - Ames, IA - December 10, 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? Freedom to work whenever, when it's busy you can make it real good money. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? When it's not busy you don't make any money. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? If the orders are ready when you get there it's not stressful. If their not and the restaurant is busy the staff is stressful and they don't want to deal with you.

Good if you can get scheduled
Driver (Current Employee) - Marquette, MI - December 9, 2023
Have a hard time getting scheduled in my area, and apart from people leaving zero tip occasionally, it's a good gig for when you're in between jobs...

Own hours
Driver (Current Employee) - Brooklyn, NY - December 9, 2023
can't say enough about how wonderful this job is! As an Independent Contractor, I have to take out my own taxes but, the flexibility is perfect! You choose your own hours that you want to work or that your available for. You're literally your own boss! Simply wonderful! Especially, for people that can't do much else in the workforce. I have health conditions that limit me from working other types of jobs and this is perfect for me.

They are basically a scam, you do they're job for peanuts
Delivery Driver (Former Employee) - Lakeland, FL - December 9, 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? No boss, being alone and relying on yourself. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? No stress except for the pay way below an acceptable amount of money for the travels. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Great place to work if you wanna be ripped off! What is a typical day like for you at the company? It was just a lot of waiting for orders and if you wanted to make any kinda profit you would have to wait for big orders but if you don't accept the the little orders they penalize you

Perfect for work life balance, you choose your own schedule
Delivery Driver (Current Employee) - Puerto Rico - December 9, 2023
A typical day at work is going online and scheduling the dashes, once it’s time to go to work I head out and start doing some deliveries. What I learned working for DoorDash is communication. This job requires pretty good communication and understanding so that the deliveries are made especially ones with special requirements. Management is amazing, they check up on you once in a while to make sure everything is running smoothly, and they let you know when an area near you has peak pay. Workplace culture is basically high accountability and integrity. Hardest part of the job is waiting for the orders to come in when the day is slow. Most enjoyable part is the rush you get trying to get the deliveries done on time
Pros
Work from home, make your own schedule, good pay, savings and rewards

What is the work environment and culture like at the company? It can be challenging navigating slow restaurants, traffic and customer expectations. What is a typical day like for you at the company? Not making enough money to live.

Easy going at your own pace
Delivery Driver (Current Employee) - Burlington, NC - December 9, 2023
You choose your own hours. The job is what you make it. In certain areas you are paid for your time hourly. The only thing you have to be mindful of is being safe on the road.

It’s okay the tips are low
Driver (Current Employee) - Asheboro, NC - December 8, 2023
The tips are starting to getting smaller and smaller. Use to my area was a lot busier but now I don’t know if there is fewer orders or more drivers but you would have to wait a while for a order to pop up

Fun but hard
Driver (Former Employee) - New Jersey - December 8, 2023
Can be a hard drive but at the same time it’s one of those jobs that you can get what you make out of it. If you do a good job than you can be very good at it.

Make own schedule. Make as much money as you want.
Driver (Current Employee) - Castle Rock, CO - December 8, 2023
Doordashing is awesome as a part time job. Full time will put alot of miles on your vehicle. It's great to work doordash or food delivery after your normal work schedule or on the weekends. Will need oil changes more often and more work on car. Can get money same day on apps.

More Money needs to be Offered
Driver (Current Employee) - District of Columbia - December 8, 2023
Ok Where do I start To begin They changed the Mapping which messed up EVERYTHING second You guys Truly don't show any love for your delivery driver's in which who make this Entire company. Its sad you have to Wait until Promo days to ACTUALLY make some Money tbh it's a joke and I don't recommend it.They will say The place is 7 miles away only for them to Take you out of your designated Region of dashing to Another which the money doesn't Add up to The Delivery.I truly don't like This company they're just like the Rest don't care for their workers.

Not bad
Delivery Driver (Current Employee) - Charlotte, NC - December 8, 2023
Pretty good side job. Would be better if people tipped more. Especially when it’s a pretty long distance, for only a couple dollars & you have to accept it to keep your acceptance rates decent.

Work at your own time
Food Delivery Driver (Current Employee) - Nevada - December 7, 2023
Work at your own time, and its a good part time job only if you have a good location. Other then that, it can be hard and boring because the pay is super low (2 dollar min for a delivery) and u can spend an hour waiting for an order.

Side hustle
Doordash Driver (Former Employee) - Fort Collins, CO - December 7, 2023
Doordash works great as a side hustle. Work whenever you want. I personally recommend dashing later in the day/evening and nights, because that's when most people order dinner after getting home from work. 8pm - 12am should give you some decent orders. I call this section of time "stoner hours" because I live in a legal state.

Choose your hours and expect to gamble
Delivery Driver (Current Employee) - Salt Lake City, UT - December 7, 2023
Hours are flexible for as long as it is busy enough in the area you want to dash at, especially during weather conditions. Payout is what you accept at the moment the offer shows up, you can, however, choose to decline offers you have no interest in. This is considered Independent Contract work, so expect to put money aside for taxes and track your mileage, phone usage, expenses, etc. Stride is perfect for that. Customers are mixed, as well as support.
Pros
Flexible Hours
Cons
Inconsistant pay per mile

Gig work can be fun
Delivery Driver (Current Employee) - Delaware - December 7, 2023
Great part-time job . They pay every Tuesday by direct deposit. If you need cash fast, this is an opportunity to make extra money. There is plenty of work!
