Poor Management
Housekeeper (Former Employee) –  Lawrence, KSNovember 13, 2018
The job started out pretty great, and then after a customer trashing the pool after I had left to go home, the management wasn't great anymore. I was ridiculed for just about everything.

They don’t follow what they preach
Security (Former Employee) –  Reading, PANovember 7, 2018
They preach culture but that changes like the weather. Too many Chiefs and not enough Indians. When the President tells you to do one thing, the GM orders you to do another. You never know who to follow. Also, they are not very diverse.

After being with this company for a year it has been nothing but broken promises and frustration. Communication is not good, the environment is not happy or uplifting.

Inside the Workplace
Food and Beverage Manager (Former Employee) –  Cambridge, MAOctober 31, 2018
Great place to work as a hourly team member. Turn over rate was extremely low, 60% of employees have been there over 9 years. Room for advancement and endless classes to grow within position, advancement, or a lateral move. Management was supportive and all employees were happy to be there, you had a sense of family where everyone cared. Team work was a big part of the culture, and everyone helped out without being asked. HR was big on appreciation, whether it be birthday, anniversary, baby shower, or kicking off a BBQ to the summer season, they showed they cared, and they did it with love.

Managers were over worked and under paid. The expectations were a little far fetched. Expected to work 45-50 hours, yet there was endless improvements, projects and unnecessary paper work trickled down from upper managements "to do list" that kept middle management there over 60 hours a week. An "average" day was about 12 hours, many managers worked 6 days a week, or on days off just to complete their work. Managers worked with integrity to get the job done, but you can see the stress in there eyes, but they always kept a smile and remained positive. Short staffed and had to work many doubles or fill in for an hourly employee.
Pros
free parking, free lunch/dinner, discounts, great health benefits
Cons
upper management lacked structure, lacked communication, long work hours

Productive
Housekeeping (Former Employee) –  Fort Smith, AROctober 30, 2018
Keep us on our toes. Learned how to fold sheets and towels properly. Some workers were unprofessional. Had to finished rooms in a timely manner. No rush through cleaning. Had to detail every room before moving onto the next. Managers was helpful, came behind and checked rooms and reminded us if we missed cleaning or replacing something. tend to customers needs if they request for towels or shampoo. or request for room to be cleaned.
Pros
Some staff are helpful and managers are willing to work with their workers
Cons
some employees had disagreements with each other.

Work
Director of Housekeeping (Current Employee) –  Wilmington, DEOctober 29, 2018
Do not work at this location due to poor senior management team. There is only one knowledgeable manager located at this facility and this individual is constantly extinguishing fires with management due to their lack of planning and communication. The culture is set about three individuals that are under the impression they could make change and hold you responsible for this change, but they never communicated the changed process(es) that is not in their realm of responsibility to begin with. The hardest part of the job is dealing with hostile and belligerent subordinates that truly do not want to accomplish the job they were hired to perform. Almost like high school environment with the immaturity that is displayed by hourly associates.
Pros
One good manager on property
Cons
everything else.
