5 Star Company
Current Employee (Current Employee) –  Akron, OHJuly 6, 2018
DRB Systems is by far the most employee friendly company that I have worked for. They believe in their people and do their best to foster growth and development. I enjoy the challenges I face in my position and being given the opportunity to use my experience to the fullest. If you are looking for a great company to work for DRB Systems is the place to be.

Good Place Unless You're in Support
Technical Support Representative (Current Employee) –  Akron, OHJuly 2, 2018
DRB Systems is a good place to work unless you are a support rep, which most people in the company are. A few years ago support used to be fun and tight knit, but quick over-expansion of the department has made HR and management MUCH less caring of the staff. If you're in support you are not a person, you're a number. If you do end up working here, immediately begin searching for alternate employment, "careers" coming from support are very rare.
Pros
Some good benefits, work outside of support is good
Cons
HR and support management are uncaring and cold

Excellent workplace
Team Member (Current Employee) –  Akron, OHJune 28, 2018
Despite what some of the previous posters indicated, leadership and management do their very best to provide a great place to work, in a very fast paced environment with really good growth opportunities for those who are willing to work hard and put in the dedication to their roles, each other, and the company. I would recommend that anyone using this site to determine whether or not this is a great place to work should pay attention to whether or not these reviews are coming from current or former employees.
Pros
Tons of perks
Cons
Can feel overwhelming at time, good if you like challenges

Great place to work!
Current employee (Current Employee) –  Akron, OHJune 28, 2018
I am happy to be part of a great organization! The staff members are appreciated and treated with respect. You are always greeted with a smile at the front desk and that culture is carried through the rest of the building. Highly recommended!

High school all over again
Technical Support Representative (Former Employee) –  Akron, OHJune 24, 2018
This company is very cliquey and plays a lot of office politics. Because recruitment is driven by a lot of recommendations, you'll often run into a group of high school buddies or old coworkers who prop up each other and keep others down. There is a lot of favoritism all around.

if you are applying for an HR or Marketing position you will most likely not be hired if you are a man. If you get a job in support you will not have much room for advancement.

They have monthly pie days and hand out free food all the time but then will be upset we do not meet health goals.

your managers will talk about how bad it was to work at their previous company but not realize 90% of our management hires are from the same company they hated.
Pros
free food
Cons
cliques, office politics, little room for career advancement

Wonderful Growing Company
Crew Member (Current Employee) –  Akron, OHMarch 14, 2018
Don't listen to the other reviews. I've worked in many different environments across several industries and DRB is by far the best. Employees are treated extremely well, and the compensation is very fair for what is asked day to day. Leadership is very friendly and makes every effort to encourage and provide employee growth. Christmas parties, summer bbq's, pie day, free soda pop and coffee, a fitness center, basketball hoops, ping pong, gaming center, constant internal promotion, regular merit and performance raises, I could go on and on.

Okay, but not very flexible
Technical Support Representative (Former Employee) –  Akron, OHFebruary 27, 2018
This is a good company to work for if you are still in school or recently graduated with an IT degree. Everyone is friendly and willing to help each other. When it comes to leadership though, they tend to micro-manage and are very strict with the rules. This becomes very obvious when you look around the office and see most people in jeans/ t-shirts, then see a small handful of individuals in khakis and button ups.

The workplace is casual
TECHNICAL SUPPORT TECHNICIAN (Former Employee) –  Akron, OHFebruary 13, 2018
The workplace is casual but the clientele are vicious. They did provide fringe benefits but that was not worth the headache. If you know someone advancement can happen otherwise plan on spending a couple of years paying the way.
Pros
Free pop
Cons
overworked

Game players
MANAGER (Former Employee) –  Greene, OhioSeptember 5, 2017
The culture is fun if you are "in" with the right people. The customers come second in every case.

Good Benefits & Good advancement if you want to play the games. AND don't go to HR with any questions or problems you will get fired.
Pros
Cool building, lots of day drinking, smart team members, good concept products
Cons
Cool kids club, unfair, exec team is not trained to manage people
