Audit Manager (Former Employee) –  Charlotte, NCAugust 29, 2018
Driven Brands culture and promotion opportunity is 'inclusive". Communicated policies are not always applied to everyone the same. I do not wish to elaborate any further and wish to have my review to remain confidential and not shared.

Operations Coach (Former Employee) –  North eastAugust 17, 2018
Employees constantly talk about the turnover. Reason why most people have been there under two years. Always looking for the next option, no loyalty to employees.
Pros
Healthy snacks in break room

High turnover

Most Negative Place I've Ever Worked
N/A (Current Employee) –  Charlotte, NCAugust 8, 2018
There are so many things wrong with this company, it's hard to know where to start. Work space is a sardine can - there's at least 200+ people crammed onto one tiny floor of the office building. You have absolutely no physical barriers in between you or the rest of the people in the room - creating a hugely distracting, loud and unprofessional work space. Management is all over the place, with no idea how to activate or actually complete any of the tasks or initiatives they demand from their subordinates. The executives are all buddies that hired one another from Burger King - which they still refuse to recognize is a much different industry than the car business. Their decisions tank every single brand they touch. The accounting department is easily 90+ days out from paying any given vendor at any given time. Mid-level managers are willing to step on whoever it takes and literally ruin careers if it means they get two seconds of attention from their superiors (who can, and have, fired people at will for no reason). Parking isn't covered, so you'll easily pay $200+ each month JUST TO COME TO WORK. The work hours aren't clearly defined in your employment contract - even for those who are hourly - so they overwork you to the max because they know you need the job. Work/life balance is non-existent. Forget trying to go to the gym or having dinner at a reasonable hour - you'll be lucky to take a lunch break without eating at your desk! And last, but not least, the compensation is a joke. Most of the sub-mid-management positions are easily 20-25% below Charlotte market value for  more... the same job with the same experience. Moral of the story: stay far, far away from this place at all costs.  less

Technical Support (Former Employee) –  Tampa Bay, FLJuly 26, 2018
The description for this position never stated that a transfer would be necessary. There was never a discussion of a transfer ever. At the drop of a hat they wanted to transfer me out of state. Absolutely no notice. The Sr. management would hit the bars for lunch whenever they were in town and after would have the nerve to speak with customers.

Chaotic company with little or no mentoring and a cutthroat competitive environment
Accounting Analyst (Former Employee) –  Charlotte, NCJune 18, 2018
When I worked at Driven Brands, the company was growing faster than it could keep up with. As a result, many employees got left behind. There was little or no training available, as everyone scrambled just to keep up with the growth level. The compensation was higher than average as a result. It wasn't uncommon for employees to be abruptly dismissed with no warning signs and no explanation.

Awesome place to work
Human Resources Assistant (Current Employee) –  Charlotte, NCApril 11, 2018
For me, it is a really awesome place to work. Some days are busier than others. Really great people. Most enjoyable part of the job was the one-on-one interaction with the employees and shop owners. I loved being able to solve their problems or help them work through their issues!

Feels like a bad dream and then it gets worse
Marketing Coordinator (Former Employee) –  Charlotte, NCFebruary 6, 2018
The upper management is disturbing. The infighting is at a cut throat level that makes Game of Thrones feel timid. They under pay and over work you. Bonuses and raises haven’t been given in 3 years. They are hemorrhaging cash and have negative growth. The good have left and are leaving. What is left behind are the franchisees who aren’t making enough to pay their dues. It’s a shameful place.

Terrible Company (Maaco Operations)
Ops (Former Employee) –  Charlotte, NCJanuary 22, 2018
Do Not waste your time working here....layoffs for no reason are constant. Maaco Managers are clueless. No vision or communication at all. They try to sell franchises to people but most of what they sell is well past its peak. Who paints cars these days?? Plenty of people lost everything.
Pros
Easy place to just get by, do nothing.
Cons
Real lack of vision. (Maaco)

The people that worked there really understood me and what my goals were. Management was understanding and tried hard to believe in its employees and their dreams.

Advertising Fund Accounting Manager (Former Employee) –  Charlotte, NCJanuary 8, 2018
Any review you read that are positive are either because HR coerced the employee into posting it or HR posted it themselves. It is a horrible environment with horrible management. the HR team has zero actual HR experience or education.

Operations Maaco (Former Employee) –  Charlotte, NCOctober 31, 2017
Lots of laying off and turn over. Lack of communication. I was assigned to Maaco Operations. Managers and VP's that seem lost and they just keep mumbling the same business buzz words (think outside the box, cadence, KPI, etc lol) hoping nobody notices they are clueless.

They have no education for employees.

Regional Account Manager, DFW (Former Employee) –  Dallas, TXSeptember 28, 2017
Turnover rate is high and expectations are scattered. They only care about certain brands. They are not efficiently utilizing a company's acquisitions and instead are going the cheap route and charging more to boost profit even though it is already profitable and on an upward slope.

Driven brands appear to be trustworthy - beware they are not
Project Manager (Former Employee) –  Charlotte, NCSeptember 8, 2017
Driven Brands is a stepping stone kind of place. Do not take this place serious. They fire, lay off, even when you are doing a great job, it's based on "who" looks better for the company. They promote your title, but not your salary. BEWARE.
Pros
Going home

Liars for Managers, Unloyal brands, Bewildered Upper Managment, No Direction

this is a very hostile work enviroment
Accounts Payable Specialist (Former Employee) –  Charlotte, NCJuly 13, 2017
this is a very hostile environment. managers are known to yell at subordinates even though they are proven wrong but do not apologize. They currently have a new CEO who is trying to make changes. If they do not weed out the long term employees who have done nothing to earn their titles there will not be any improvements

Maaco Marketing Coordinator (Current Employee) –  Charlotte, NCJune 22, 2017
There is a lot of projects that you are responsible for and it helped me to learn a tremendous amount in just a year and a half at the company. My first couple of months was an easy transition as I was able to take on more responsibility.
