Starting at DriveSavers in an entry level position I was able to learn and grow throughout the years. In working in and closely with multiple departments I was able to understand not only what we do, but how we perform the complex services we provide for our customers. My managers have thoughtfully pushed me to be the best I can be as well as providing the tools I need(ed) to continue learning. Co-workers have always been great and many of them have become friends outside of work - A SMB which still has a solid and welcoming team feeling.

Cons

Can be tough to learn the technology employed if you are not interested in learning about it.

Great company to work for!

I am very happy to be working at DriveSavers for almost 10 years now on our Sales team. I enjoy coming to work everyday and everyone I work with. A big part of my job is that I get to travel all over the country to visit our partners and attends trade shows or other events. I get to work with many different departments and people in the company and could not ask for a better team of coworkers. It is amazing work we do here, recovering irreplaceable data and memories. I hope to work here for a very long time and excited for the future.

Awesome place to work for!

I am very pleased with my job overall. I come in everyday knowing what is expected from me and try to do my best to achieve that. I genuinely care about the company and the work I do and I definitely feel a sense of purpose everyday. Seems like a lot of management meetings the last year or so have been making changes within the company for the better and it’s great to see a company that cares to implement changes for everyone. Everyone I work with is great and super helpful whenever I have questions, we all try to help each other out in different ways. Some days/weeks can be really busy but we do our best to push through and management takes notice of this and let’s us know we’re doing a good job which is always a good thing to hear at any job you work at. Really good atmosphere overall!

Pros

Fridge stocked with beverages, healthcare is good, great work/life balance, supportive management, helpful co workers.

Cons

A Great Place to Learn and Grow Your Skills

After working at DriveSavers for 7 months, I am so happy this is where I landed out of college. All the employees are friendly and work as a great resource to feed off of each other. Leadership at the company instills confidence in the team to be able to take on anything. A typical day on the job consists almost entirely of inbound calls which can be a little monotonous at times but they do not load you up with busy work during some short periods of down time. The company offers great starting pay, 401K match and Medical but performance incentives are not consistently available to be earned.

Productive workplace filled with some awesome people.

My work day starts at 8:00AM and ends at 4:30PM Monday through Friday. This is the perfect schedule for me and once that time is done, I don't have to worry about anything at home. In other words, my work stays at work and my home is for home. The beginning of the morning starts with shipping orders to our customers while waiting for our shipments to come in to start receiving new orders. In this time, we also have little conversations with various coworkers that visit our department as we've grown close over the years. Everyday, I manage all of the big picture shipping and receiving needs / issues and I've learned how to navigate our database and even other department's procedures to be able to do my job as best as possible. The majority of the people here are friendly, personable and genuinely want to help our customers and colleagues. We all have a job here that requires a lot of attention to detail and if you're not careful, it can then affect the next person who touches that order. So, we all make sure we do our absolute best work here and really pride ourselves in that. Some days there are higher levels of stress and pressure than others, but nothing that is unbearable or too difficult to solve. There is a bit of micromanagement at times (which I've never been a fan of anywhere I've been employed) but a lot of the times it's for good reason. We are a high security facility with a lot of important customer data / information so sometimes micromanagement does have its time and place. I absolutely love my coworkers, though. I've gotten to know a lot of things about the people -

This is a company that truly cares for their employees

DriveSavers is a team oriented, appreciative company to work for. I have always found myself unhappy with previous jobs that don't appreciate their employees, but that was never an issue here! I was always rewarded for my hard work either vocally or with incentives to help the company get a greater revenue! There is real teamwork happening here and the management is great to go to with any issues, personal or job related. I do not see myself leaving any time soon, my only constructive criticism would be to help internal employees get into engineering or other departments if that is their wish. Sometimes it can be hard to transition job titles, but that would be my only piece of advice for the company.

Big enough to be a leader and small enough to feel like a family

I was always told that "A company doesn't care about who you are, they care about what you can do for them". Although I don't know anyone here that didn't have a good foundation relative to their job duties, being positive, hard working and team focused person seems to be big common thread amongst people.

A changing company with a bright future

Data recovery is constantly changing, especially in the world of NAND Flash/SSDs and encryption. I am confident that DriveSavers not only is the leader at this time but continues to make pushes to ensure our clients the best possible chance of recovering their irreplaceable data. All around working at DriveSavers is a very rewarding job. Where else can you go to work every day and know that you're going to reunite someone with something sentimental or of mission-critical value that they thought was lost forever, every, single, day. I am also proud of the data recovery relief that DriveSavers has had in its DNA since it was founded, on providing free services to natural disaster victims around the world who have lost their irreplaceable data.

A great place to work.

Drivesavers is a customer service forward work environment. We take great pride in providing the highest level of service for our customers. We also stay on the forefront of storage technology and are provided with all the necessary tools to perform our job in in the most effective and efficient way. Family and a happy work environment is also top priority for all employees at Drivesavers.

Productive Fun work place

Excellent company to work for. We've won the best place to work award for two years! It's a satisfying place to work. Since 1985 DriveSavers has recovered data from hard drives and other storage media that have crashed, mechanically failed, been physically damaged, infected by viruses and worse. Our slogan is "We can save it!"

Work-life balance

Really good work-life balance. Great team to work with, especially knowing we are the best in the industry. Frequent giveaways/drawings for concerts or sporting events. The downside that I see is that it seems that the data recovery industry is getting smaller.

If you are not competitive, you will fail

Company is in a downward spiral and not competitively priced. If you are the best in the industry and no one can afford your services, good luck with long-term profitability. Senior Mgt will not take responsibility and revenue trend has been down as well as people leaving the company for better roles.

Great Company!

They do amazing things and save data from just about any media device. The pay is fair and the people I work with are good people. I was unable to advance in the company and have not received a raise in over 5 years, but the work is fulfilling and I believe in what they stand for as a business.
