Fun place to work, can be really slow paced, can also be really intense for short bursts. You will get out of it what you put into it. If you work hard you will get to do more, even if you are just doing menial tasks.
Pros
great experiences, great connections, lots of training opportunities
Cons
long days sometimes, inconsistent hours, work on weekends

The position of a Special Agent/Criminal Investigator with the DEA was very challenging and rewarding. The most enjoyable aspect of the job is that if your are self-motivated, the job allows the freedom to be as creative and inventive as you want, within the parameters of DEA policy and procedures.
Like any other place of employment, the most difficult aspects of the job are dealing with 1st and 2nd line supervisors and attorney's-mostly from the US Attorney's Office.
Pros
Overall great experience
