To work as a stylist you are required to hold an active Cosmetology license for the state in which you are applying. In some states, you may also hold a Barbering or a specialty Cosmetology license, if you are unsure if your credentials suffice, you are always welcome to email us at careers at thedrybar dot com. We're happy to help!

While it is preferred that Receptionists and Managers have a Cosmetology license, it is in no way required.

It depends on the location. Franchise locations tend to be more flexible and friendly because the owner is on-site and has vested interest in success. Corporate owned companies dont have this.
