No place for advancement and management is horrible, and the access takes forever!!! And to many meetings and no work is getting done by all the teams there, Lack in resources. Would not want to be there more than 2-3 years you will feel dead inside!

Work closely with clients to gather requirements. Participate in Business Requirements and Functional Requirements meetings. Write test cases and execute them using HP Quality Center and JIRA. Report defects using JIRA.

Nice company with good work life balance
IT QA Analyst, Core Team (Current Employee) –  TampaNovember 28, 2018
DTCC is a nice company to work for with good work life balance. Career advancement is not the best here, people are reluctant to adapt to new technologies.

DTCC is a good company if you work for a good manager
Lead Software Quality Assurance Analyst (Former Employee) –  Tampa, FLNovember 14, 2018
I liked DTCC as a company, but I must have worked for the worst manager in the whole company. Micro managing to the Nth degree and NO people skills. These are the reasons I left.

DTCC is a good company
Lead Software Quality Assurance Analyst (Former Employee) –  Tampa, FLOctober 22, 2018
I liked DTCC as a company. But my experience was with the worst manager that I've ever worked for, in over 25 years of working in software QA.

That said, I really believe it's a good company and I would go back if I knew I would work for a different manager.

Poor Senior Management
Manager (Current Employee) –  Tampa, FLAugust 19, 2018
The Senior Management Team gas no clue on what really happens below their world. Too many mangers have zero “people” or “leadership” skills. They have no clue on how to build teams nor do they know how to treat their employees. Extremely sad state of affairs for a company with so much potential.

talks a lot about their transformation and helping employees be their best. I'm pleased to see that they are really making an effort. From their focus on work/life balance and compensation, to their brand new workspaces - i couldn't be happier working here.

Cool Company, Bad Manager
Intern (Current Employee) –  Tampa, FLJune 4, 2018
I personally had a bad manager- but most of the people seem cool. It is a very monotonous job environment- but if you hang out with the right people it does seem to get better.

Overall good company to work for
Manager (Current Employee) –  Tampa, FLMarch 26, 2018
A good company to work for overall. Benefits are decent and PTO time is fair. Bonuses are paid out each year but not at the same level/percentage as other regions.

Good benefits, very political environement
Associate Director HR Technology and Operations (Current Employee) –  Tampa, FLJanuary 31, 2018
DTCC is overall a good place to work. However in the upper management areas DTCC becomes a very political environment. Senior management is concerned more with their own financial gain than the advancement of staff or the organization as a whole.
Pros
Good Compensation
Cons
Political environment

Can be challenging depending upon area
Human Resources (Current Employee) –  Tampa, FLJanuary 12, 2018
Tenure is long at DTCC. Many middle and upper level managers have been with the company for decades. This can tend to create an environment that doesn't provide for a standard SOP that anyone can just easily reference. Moreover, the politics are thick, in that relationships go back a very long time, and egos are inflated the higher the role. They are moving to a more flattened structure, so that idea is that an employee should expand outward instead of move up, which really just means that most moves will be lateral for not much more pay or responsibility. The boomers up top aren't going anywhere, so it can be difficult for Gen Xers to gain any mobility.
Pros
Salary, benefits, and if you're lucky, immediate manager
Cons
Politics, culture, workload at times

Sr. Research Analyst (Former Employee) –  Tampa, FLNovember 29, 2017
The management from day one the games of politics was being played. I'm a very on task kind of employee, I don't work well with the corporate games. So I didn't play along and was fired soon after.

Ok for college students looking to get a job right out of school
International Tax Specialist (Former Employee) –  Tampa, FLOctober 22, 2017
Good place to start your career in a financial industry if you're coming right out of college. I wouldn't recommend it for mid to senior employees. Lack of advancement for most candidates.
Pros
good benefits
Cons
lack of career advancement

IT Manager (Former Employee) –  Tampa, FLOctober 17, 2017
Leadership is rudderless and trying to be all things to all people even though they have a history of failing with ventures outside of their wheelhouse. This creates a middle management culture that is contradictory and consistently confused as to what they should be doing with the people who actually do the work.
Pros
They paid well
Cons
Dying at your desk, literally.

Great Player in the FinTech Industry
Manager (Current Employee) –  Tampa, FLOctober 1, 2017
Have teleworking program; however, many managers prefer to see you in the office even though your team are dispersed throughout the world. It's a cubical work environment unless you are an executive or managing director. To move up the ranks, you have to have to network with the 'right' director(s).

Enjoy the people, business process networks, the company's purpose in the industry, technologies, and managing directors that I've encountered/met.
Pros
Business Professional Networks
Cons
None -- However, I prefer to work from home versus be in the office every day.

Gret company to work for with high pay and bonuses
Technical Analyst (Former Employee) –  Tampa, FLSeptember 28, 2017
Great place to work with advancement opportunities! There is a lot to learn at this company and the people are always rewarded well with high bonus incentives. The management is well diverse and their skills are always on top of their employees which makes them a very strong company with skilled people throughout. Employees are salaried and trusted with their lunch time and work time. People are respected and there is always help when asked for it
