There is nothing to review at this time. I have been with the company for less than a year and haven't seen or encountered enough to make an informed unbiased decision.

Senior Operations – Mandatory Corporate Actions (Former Employee) –  New York, NYMay 9, 2016
During my time there from management to co-workers the environment was fantastic.

All were hands on, ready to help, incentives were fair, benefits, raise and bonuses were fair. It was a fast paced world but, enjoyable.

Busy office with large sums of money being processed.
Mandatory Reorganization Deposits Senior Associate (Former Employee) –  New York, NYFebruary 23, 2016
Calling banks to find out when payments were being sent for current and aged items. Processing of cash, stock and dividend payment for clients. Taking care of any errors that may occur in a timely manner. Running journal entries on client and house accounts. Many co-workers became lifetime friends and were very helpful to one another. The hardest part of the job was collecting on long tern aged items. The most enjoyable part of the job was the feeling of accomplishment when large payments were completed in record time.
Pros
Processing excessive payments were easily handled with the system that was in place.
Cons
Occasional layoffs

Business Analyst (Current Employee) –  New York, NYFebruary 3, 2016
Pros
Advancement opportunities, great at developing skills, great place to learn a skill and grow your resume, or grow with the company.
Cons
Understaffing issues negatively affects all parts of their business. However, Walmart has increased their minimum hourly rate with hopes to attract more committed employees, and retain better employees.
Advice to Management
At the store level, any time you are called in to over ride an associate following company policy, make sure that you first make it clear to the associate and customer that they were doing their job and that you are making an exception.

Opportunity for growth and advancement
senior analyst (Current Employee) –  Jersey City, NJJanuary 25, 2016
Working at DTCC can be summed up as the hub or lifeblood of all institutional trades. It is the focal point for all post trade activities- a library of certificates that trade from one bank to another, and we help get that job done.

Interestingly enough I learned that we are charged with maintaining a certain level of data analysis in order to establish risk preventive measures for the countries sake. We help the government sort out risky trades and problem prone transactions to help implement procedures as well as policy.

The hardest part of the job has to be the attention to detail that is placed for every single process we do here. There is rarely room for error, and any mistakes are met with an analysis breakdown of how things went wrong and what we will do to fix this error in the future.

The most enjoyable part of working at DTCC is the amount of collaboration that takes place between the different departments. It feels like your working in a small community and tightly knit relationships spanning the beginning of the company is not unusual. This makes for great conversation as you are able to here how DTCC has evolved over the years, reaching the level of one of the world's largest depository firm.

High pay with low skills and little room for advancement
IT Operations (Current Employee) –  Dallas, TXJanuary 6, 2016
The roles and responsibilities for your job are unclear, unsatisfying and quite mundane. This company has not invested in tools and are on the low edge of cutting technology.

They do however, offer work/life balance from their work from home program and they pay well, and give a yearly incentive. The vacation is extensive, but the benefits (medical/dental) are expensive and not that good.
Pros
Salary, Incentive, Vacation
Cons
No skills, no tools, nothing to learn

Tough culture
manager (Current Employee) –  Jersey City, NJJanuary 5, 2016
It's not a bad place, but it seems like every year the company invests alot of money to address the "culture." Tens of people get pulled into the project which ultimately results in nothing. Culture, Billing, Onboarding, New Business, etc. all seem to follow that same cycle annually.

Below average financial company.
Messenger (Current Employee) –  Jersey City, NJAugust 19, 2015
The people who work here are very hard-headed. I leave at 4:30, it can be 3:45pm on a 90 degree day or even on Christmas Eve and they'll still send one of us on a run. This place can wear you out physically and mentally and the rules and regulations here are ridiculous. If you go through the wrong door you'll hear it from security.
Pros
Walk around city during a run, free trasportation cards.
Cons
Low pay, horrible boss, unruly co-workers who aren't handled properly, messangers treated poorly.
