It's a job

Managers/ supervisor/foreman are all rude and have no clue how to talk to people. They all yell and expect you to have 20 years experience. They work you like a dog. They do not listen to you and takes a whole year for you to get your paid holidays and sick leave and other benefits. Overall find somewhere else. NOT worth it

I first learned how to work with asphalt it was a great experience i enjoyed my time there

It was exciting knowing that I'm changing the city by paving new roads Paving parking lots highways and also learning new things about the paver operator and the heavy equipment

Was stabbed in the back after two wks.

Was really ready to be on my own , in my own truck when I was called into an office and fired for a long list of offences towards the co. And my pro. Driver self. They were two drivers & 3 trucks, one driver got it in his head that his pay would be going down when I come on board so he stabbed me in the back and lied on me! I was not allowed to defend myself or be demoted or transfered or nothing. It was a shock!!!
