Good company if you're a scientist, mathematician, or physicist.
Senior Application Architect (Former Employee) - Huntsville, AL - August 31, 2023
No career advancement opportunities. Compensation barely at - but most of the time below - industry standard and competitors. Management wastes company funds on projects with little to no oversight.

Great people, Leidos is killing us
Aerospace Engineer (Current Employee) - Huntsville, AL - July 21, 2023
ESOP culture without ESOP benefits. Leidos HR will block a warranted promotion if you don’t fit perfectly into their rank structure. Doesn’t matter what work you’re doing. Projects can be interesting, but there is a clear lack of upper management investment between divisions. Pay is mediocre. The people are super bright and kind, but I fear Leidos will run us into the ground.

Laid-back Workplace
Engineer (Current Employee) - Huntsville, AL - June 14, 2023
Immediate managers are very helpful but lots of red-tape to go through for most things. Contracts move at a slow pace for the most part, and pay is OK for the area but lower than other companies.

Great place to learn
Security Specialist (Former Employee) - Huntsville, AL - June 8, 2023
Good place to learn with the right training. The security team was easy to work. The job wasn't difficult and the hours were reasonable. The pay could have been much better, given the size of the company.

Depends solely on your manager
Analyst (Former Employee) - Huntsville - March 15, 2023
Learned a lot in the beginning. As time went on, it was clear my management had a "favorite" and put most resources into them, leaving me to struggle. Despite reaching out, nothing improved. Upper leadership however was great and cared about the employees. Overall the Dynetics culture works hard to keep employees interested, learning, progressing, and exciting; however, team culture depends on the head of your team.
Pros
desire to progress employees' careers
Cons
poor work/life balance, lack of time/resources to actually progress- and improve careers

Not the greatest place to be.
Planner (Current Employee) - Huntsville, AL - January 22, 2023
Unfortunately, the cons outweigh the pros. A lot of people that will be on your team are really good to work with, but management is horrible at some of the locations. If you are lucky enough to get a good manager, then you are set. However, there are lots of people 'in charge' that are unprofessional, do not tolerate people who are different, and do not want to change the way that things are even if there is a better way out there. Be sure to get any promised benefits like a work schedule, leave, etc. in writing before you start.
Pros
The pay isn't bad. Usually, it is fairly competitive.
Cons
Not flexible, hard to move up, & education benefits are limited by the manager's discretion.

It’s ok
Analyst (Current Employee) - Huntsville, AL - November 9, 2022
The People I have worked with are awesome but the culture is just not what it used to be and management seems very disconnected to employees. Benefits are not as good as they were either.

Great place to work
Electro-Mechanical Technician (Former Employee) - Huntsville, AL - September 28, 2022
Dynetics was a great place to work, it just became to political after the merger with leidos. It became harder to progress within the company when people from another organization are taking local positions.
Pros
Great work life balance, good coworkers
Cons
To much interference from leidos

Jobs at Dynetics
Used to be great - not anymore
Program Management Analyst (Former Employee) - Huntsville, AL - September 20, 2022
Dynetics was a fantastic place to work with a good culture and great people. However, after the buyout changes started coming and coming. Most of them were doable and didn't ruin the workplace or make the job unenjoyable. Beginning of '22, they removed all management in the finance department and put new people in place who had little experience with program control. Turnover was horrid (~20 people in 9 months). Management heard complaint after complaint and did nothing. They're slashing incentives to work there (PPL and comp banks) and offering signing bonuses but not retention bonuses. Management is in and out of HR constantly. I got great experience with so many opportunities open (due to turnover), but unfortunately it made me single point of failure on too many things. Not worth it.

good contract job
Material Planner (Former Employee) - Huntsville, AL - July 23, 2022
Working at the plant was okay except for mask requirements. The computers and equipment given were better than usual for contractors use. Working form home the last 6 months was great.
Pros
free coffee
Cons
too short of an assignment

Loved it...
Principle IT Support Specialist (Former Employee) - Redstone Arsenal, AL - July 19, 2022
Only left because an opportunity with a higher salary came available. Enjoyed working with the team and for the mgt team. The group I supported were also phenomenal. A++++ place to work imo.

4 stars
Visitor Information Specialist (Current Employee) - Huntsville, AL - June 30, 2022
What is the best part of working at the company? I love Dynetics! A wonderful environment, kind coworkers, and beautiful facilities! What is the most stressful part about working at the company? The most stressful part about working for this company is the amount of foot traffic, and the amount of surveillance that has to be conducted constantly throughout the day. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? The work environment is generally very good. All of the employees are really kind, very helpful, and can brighten up your day in an instance by cracking off something witty. What is a typical day like for you at the company? A typical shift is usually a little chaotic. Something new happens nearly every day, and you have to be able to make quick, intelligent decisions at a moments notice. It's generally loud and busy, with employees, customers, and guests sort of bustling around everywhere.

Lacks process consistency but good flexible work /life balance
Production Worker (Current Employee) - Huntsville, AL - June 19, 2022
Hardest part of the job is to drive process improvements & consistency across the organizations. Lots of one off ways of doing things. Lots of turn over since the buyout is adding chaos & communication gaps. Flexibility for hybrid working is the best benefit.

Good overall
Senior Creo Designer (Former Employee) - Huntsville, AL - June 9, 2022
As a contractor Dynetics was a good place to work. Was working alone most of the time. Engineers seem to take a lot of time off. Overall, was happy while there.

Fun place to work
Janitor (Current Employee) - Huntsville, AL - June 8, 2022
Pay is great and local management is supportive. The buyout is making simple things hard. Uncertainty and lack of details of future direction is cause for higher than usual stress.
Pros
Onsite vendors for lunch, Upward mobility for career
Cons
Buyout is making the simple things difficult

Structured environment
Administrative Assistant (Former Employee) - Huntsville, AL - April 13, 2022
Dynetics is a very structured and organized environment. Interviews are lengthy. Quality of work-life balance depends on position. Compensation varies by department.

Fun place to work. People hear treat you like you belong no matter what your position is in the company.
Government Property Supervisor (Current Employee) - Colorado Springs, CO - April 5, 2022
Dynetics is great company to work for. The people here are GREAT!. I have only been here for almost a month and I can say this is the first job that everyone worked as team to help me with my onboarding process. Each day I've been here there has been some on the team has been very helpful on making sure I have what I need to be successful in my new role as Government Property Supervisor. No one here wants to see anyone fail or struggle and its hard to find a company with people who does that. Great place for advancement and again I love this company and i would say if you are looking for company that is stress free, great pay & benefits , and most OF ALL GREAT PEOPLE...Dynetics is the company for you.

Great place to work and start a career.
Summer Intern (Former Employee) - Huntsville, AL - March 27, 2022
The culture and work life balance at Dynetics is great. This is an ideal company for young professionals to begin their career. There are many great opportunities to network and learn from experienced professionals.

Reasonable compensation with minimal internal management structure.
Sourcing Specialist (Former Employee) - Huntsville, AL - March 15, 2022
Overall, it was a great experience working for a high-tech aerospace company. The positives: collaborative environment, prestigious end-product, and good pay. The negatives: Very little direction from management and the organizational structure was convoluted. Once a project was completed- it was “every person for themself”. The work culture was more like a holocracy- with little being delegated and everyone having to find where they “fit” within the company.
