Avoid at all costs
Financial Consultant (Former Employee) –  New York, NYJuly 14, 2018
Not a good place to work. Go to another firm. ETRADE is trying to find a buyer, so this job will likely be gone with any future merger. Cheating among peers is rampant.

Worst job I have ever had but most people there were nice.
Financial Services Associate (Current Employee) –  Sandy, UTJuly 9, 2018
The Series 7 and Series 63 training was very beneficial but once you get out on the floor you are expected to learn everything though trial & error. The Team leads were worthless and would try to make you look stupid for asking questions. Worse place I have ever worked going all the way back to high school. I wouldn't refer my friends even though we got $1500 if they make it 90 days.
Pros
Paid Training
Cons
Management, Micro Managing, Pay

I enjoyed working there and wish it had been longer. Make sure that you study for the test and work hard to be ready for each day of work. Would love to go back.

No Growth
Lead Product Manager (Current Employee) –  Alpharetta, GAApril 25, 2018
Very mature company. Not much growth. The company has a fixed operating margin,so if the business environment ever deteriorates, they will cut staff. You won't get to learn much at ETRADE.

People are unfriendly and snobs
CONTRACTOR (Current Employee) –  Alpharetta, GAApril 25, 2018
If you like to drink and hit the bar after work this is the place for you. This place has a lot of heavy drinkers. The management sometimes come to work with the smell of alcohol. This environment survives on being a part of a click or group. If you're not in the group that gossips your career may be limited.
Pros
The name of the company.
Cons
Management and work hours.

Trader (Former Employee) –  Columbia, ILApril 9, 2018
Typical day see what the other stock market did night before. Look to see if any stocks are good to buy or sell for short or long term investments. Hardest part was having your own money in the market. Enjoyable thing was when market goes up.
Pros
Money for future needs
Cons
having your own money in the market

Procurement Specialist - E (Former Employee) –  Jersey City, NJMarch 28, 2018
Ping pong tables, tvs with ESPN and a great coffee selection. ETRADE was a great place to work, my management was great, the environment was fun and the work was face paced but not too much to handle. I would recommend working here to a friend.
