Good people and very helpful
Truck Driver Class A (Current Employee) - Fargo, ND - May 31, 2023
Been here for 4 years and can’t complain. There are better places for pay, but they are good people here. Always willing to help. Never had a company care about the driver as much as them. They deadheaded me 600 miles for my grandpa’s funeral a week after I started.

OTR Truck Driver (Former Employee) - Fargo, ND - March 17, 2023
Everyone shows professionalism and a team player. Your pay increase twice after working within 3 years. They celebrate you as a company driver. There equipment and truck are well maintained.
Pros
You do physical exercises
Cons
You work in the cold.

Great transition from a training company
Otr open deck (Former Employee) - Fargo, ND - February 8, 2023
Was an awesome place to work while still driving otr. Has a wide variety of loads past the standard flatbed freight you train on. They also run 3 trailer types so there is variety in that regard too. Excellent on hometime and if something comes up, always work it out in the best way. Pay was where I was mostly expecting. I only had 1 person in the office I didn't care to talk to but that doesn't mean he was bad to work with. Everybody did their job and kept us moving

Truck Driver Class A (Current Employee) - Fargo, ND - January 31, 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? Too many good things to easily pick the ‘best’ thing. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? The most stressful part is also the most strenuous part. Tarping! What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Everyone within the company I’ve met has been very friendly and helpful. What is a typical day like for you at the company? Strapping, chaining, securing, Driving…

Challenging but repetitive
OTR Glass driver (Current Employee) - Tennessee - January 31, 2023
Great dispatchers, plenty of miles, get home when I need to. Pay could be better but it’s decent for the industry. Great trucks, getting new trailers but current ones are maintained regularly

Great company
Overall a great company to work for. Dispatch, equipment, pay, benefits all A+. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to get into flatbed. Just don't be afraid of the cold.

Good place to work
If you don’t care about being gone all the time and your not lazy you can make good money, didn’t consistently sit on a regular basis. Good for people that want to work and don’t care about being around family or don’t have one to be around.

Truck Driver Class A OTR (Former Employee) - Fargo, ND - December 21, 2022
What is the best part of working at the company? There isn’t anything which I considered to be BEST PART OF WORKING AT EW Wylie What is the most stressful part about working at the company? The most stressful thing about working at EW Wylie is dealing with 4-5 different dispatchers where there’s a lack of communication which in turn causes a lot of issues. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? There’s no particular work environment. Because, at a different location every day. What is a typical day like for you at the company? Confusing. The dispatchers are always calling me. Because, some information was either not communicated to them or it was communicated to them incorrectly.

Productive
OTR Driver (Current Employee) - Mascot, TN - December 4, 2022
Dispatch will work with you to get you home when you need to. Loads are consistent and doable if you are planning accordingly. Each week out is 1.5 of home time which is slightly better than previous company I worked for.

Excellent Excellent Company - Highly Recommended!
OTR Flatbed Truck Driver (Former Employee) - Wadsworth, OH - December 3, 2022
This was the best job I've had in a long time. The whole management and recruiting team are so wonderfully supportive of any need or concern you may have. The dispatch team is well-staffed, and I can tell you for certain that I never waited even one second for my next load. The maintenance people were super supportive, too, when I had a breakdown. I only had to leave for health reasons, otherwise I would still be there.
Pros
Support Staff, Zone Dispatch, Recruiters, Orientation Week, New Trucks, Perks
Cons
None at all

Best overall company driver job currently available
OTR Driver (Current Employee) - Fargo, ND - November 25, 2022
EW Wylie is a solid company that I have been happily employed with for years. It was a great small family oriented business. It has grown since being purchased by Daseke Corps. Having funding from a huge corps is amazing. The nicest equipment, and great benefits. The only downside is the larger the company gets the more myself as the driver feels it steering into mega carrier attitude. But on the positive, I've never missed a home time, and also had a major medical issue that took over a year of getting to a specialized doctor monthly and never missed any appointments. Wylie went out of their way to make sure I got to the doctors and home. That's why even with the feeling of mega carrier coming on, I am still with them.
Pros
Benefits, hometime, equipment
Cons
starting to feel like a mega carrier

Can be tedious at times
Typical trucking company, pay is average, its a flat bed company so lots of physical labor involved. They leave you alone and let you do your job. They sometimes will make it difficult to get accessorial pay

not a good place
Truck Driver Class A/Loader (Current Employee) - Spring Hill, KS - October 9, 2022
If you have a problem don't count on it getting fixed. It's a shoot first and ask questions way later kind of place. The people i worked with were the best thing there

Challenging
Over the Road Truck Driver (Current Employee) - North Dakota - July 22, 2022
Relationship with dispatch is superb, however, service coordinators are below average in assisting their drivers. If there is an issue with a trailer they will try and get you to somehow fix it yourself before calling a mechanic out. Trailers picked up always seem to have issues with lights and you're having to take care of it yourself. If you have issues with your truck, hope it happens on a weekday otherwise you're SOL

One of the better trucking companies
OTR Truck Driver (Current Employee) - Fargo, ND - July 17, 2022
The people are very friendly and try very hard, the dispatchers are good but you can tell they are still learning, but they take feedback well. But man do they have the miles.... and the better freight unlike some flatbed companies where it should be in a dry van, so you have to tarp it...

Dedicated

They Lie To Get You There
They lie about potential earnings and home time to get you to start there. I had some weeks where I only cleared $200+ ! Was told I'd be out 2/3 weeks but had to stay out for 6+ weeks at a time to earn anywhere close to a liveable wage. I will say the flatbed training was good and the loads varied so it's a good place for experience. Other than that .. STAY AWAY !!!! They'll also give out bad reports to prospective future employers once you've left ! Hands down THE worst company I've ever worked for in my entire life !
