Why doesn't Eagle Express hire some more drivers and actually pay them for all the time they are on duty? The fleet managers are actually stand-by drivers required to fill in when drivers call off. [which is often due to the 6 day work schedule] How about a mobile mechanic to do minor repairs on site, instead of wasting 2 hours driving to the shop? Fleet managers have an impossible work load and not enough time in a day. Baby-sitting drivers, covering call offs, pay-roll, coordinating equipment breakdowns, It's all a bit much.

Pay the drivers for all the time they are on duty. Not enough time to pre-trip, De-funk the interior of slimey trucks, scrape bugs off the windshield from previous driver. Adding oil, coolant, and washer fluid are all on the driver for free! Eagle says they're all about safety, as long as they don't have to pay for it. I guess they have to pay for the Homewood Tower Of Power somehow. What arrogance.

Get new Trks fixed, have mobile repair Trks, pay for oil & washer fluid, pay full day when brokered load & cant run, FIRE UPPER MGMT. Why do they need to record all incoming phone calls? Each drvr Mgr tells different story. L hand doesn't know what R hand is doing.

Terminate upper management in South Holland maintenance department. The remaining members of the old regime are a liability to the future of the company. They were clueless then, and they are clueless now.

Eagle should have some sort of mediation process in place to work out differences between employees and management. Some supervisors lie to cover their mistakes, and even when the employee has proof, nothing is done. H.R. department is unwilling or unable to side with the employee.
