COMMUNICATION!!! One hand knows not what the other does! Fairness, honesty, equality, cheaper insurance deductibles. No way a company this size has to have $4,000 deductible/single coverage. Gotta be cheaper if they looked.

If they can "give" a raise above the DOL standards, make it fair across the whole board. Why should someone who stays in a hotel after only driving 5-6 hrs make more than someone who drives a full 10-11, only taking their required 30 min break? Don't use the excuse, it's based on where you live. Originally, everyone was making the same amount when the run started!

Hire some mobile mechanics for Carol Stream and Fox Valley. Someone, somewhere decided we don't need any mechanics for over 70 worn out, beat up tractors, and 150 trailers. We used to have someone here everyday, but no more. Every other terminal in Illinois, has a shop with multiple mechanics, or a mobile tractor and mobile trailer mechanic on site every day. I'd like to see the time sheets for travel time to take all these tractors to the the shop for minor repairs, in addition to tow bills for the same thing. Then they wonder why they can't find drivers anymore. I don't feel the luv.

Terminate the old management at So Holland maintenance department. Same people making the same mistakes and bad decisions for 20 years. Their "we can do whatever we want" attitude is a joke. No accountability because they lie and blame others for the problems that arise.

Make everyone pay for their own insurance. If office staff and management get free insurance, who do you think picking up the cost? Surely it is not coming out of the owners pocket. The drivers get a $1.00 an hour "raise", and then raise the insurance deductible to $4,000.00 for a single, $8,000.00 for a family. That's not a raise in my accounting book, that's nothing but a shell game.

Why doesn't Eagle Express hire some more drivers and actually pay them for all the time they are on duty? The fleet managers are actually stand-by drivers required to fill in when drivers call off. [which is often due to the 6 day work schedule] How about a mobile mechanic to do minor repairs on site, instead of wasting 2 hours driving to the shop? Fleet managers have an impossible work load and not enough time in a day. Baby-sitting drivers, covering call offs, pay-roll, coordinating equipment breakdowns, It's all a bit much.

Pay the drivers for all the time they are on duty. Not enough time to pre-trip, De-funk the interior of slimey trucks, scrape bugs off the windshield from previous driver. Adding oil, coolant, and washer fluid are all on the driver for free! Eagle says they're all about safety, as long as they don't have to pay for it. I guess they have to pay for the Homewood Tower Of Power somehow. What arrogance.
