Very fast pace. Can be rewarding if you have the energy for it. Most everyone is willing to help you out with whatever you need. But due to the fast pace, there is a lack of training. Stressful days, but supportive coworkers.

Productive and friendly and supporting workplace

I have never been to this animal hospital in the past, but my mom brought her animals here and said how much the staff loved her Saint Bernard puppy Skittles and how amazing everybody was with her and her pets who she loves like children. I seen an ad that they were hiring figured it was worth a shot, a few weeks before being hired and working at EGAH I woke up to my house on fire, lost everything including some of my animals that I was not able to get out. EGAH was more than willing to work with me for interview scheduling even before I officially was hired. Working at EGAH has given me a purpose again and I was welcomed with such a friendly and supportive team. Now that I have been here a few months working here has been nothing short of amazing. I'm so beyond grateful I got the chance to work with the amazing team here, unlike other companies that I've worked for I can truly say people here try their best to work together and to make things run smoothly. If someone needs help others are more than willing to help out. From what I've experienced animals and customers are definitely first priority and it's truly a great place to work. If someone's having an off day there's always a handful of people there to pick you up and to help pick up the pieces. I honestly can't say enough good things about the owners, managers, and employees that work for this company.

I couldn’t imagine working anywhere else now

Before starting as a Tech Assistant at EGAH, I used to bring my pets here for their vet care and was always welcomed with so much compassion and friendliness from the staff. And I can honestly say since starting my employment, that I love this company so much more than I even did before. The staff works flawlessly together, jumping into tasks to help each other out without needing to ask. If you’re having a tough day, someone is always there to give you a pep talk and let you know you have someone who genuinely cares about you. Everyone is so eager to help teach new staff and make sure everyone has a sense of belonging here. I can’t say enough good things about how much I love working for this company.

great place to work if you love and care for animals

Really amazing staff and owners/bosses. its an animal hospital that also offers grooming, daycare and boarding services. Great coworkers and managers. Usually would work with your schedule the best they could and try to be fair with staffing. Awesome to work with animals everyday, extremely enjoyable. Hardest thing about the job is when an animal would pass away/be put down.

Mixed Feelings

It's hard for me to rate as covid took a big hit on this industry. That said I found that other practices took and invested more time in communication, helping their employees navigate burnout, and provided more work-life balance and mental health resources.

Pros

Accasional Free Lunches, Ablity to bring your pets if needed.

Cons

Managment has serious communication issues and all have diffirent expitations

Great place to work

If you are willing to work hard and learn the job is very rewarding. Everyone is willing to teach you and help you learn anything you want. The managers are great and will work with you to get the hours you want.

Great Place to work

The owners are super active in the practice and very involved in everyday operations, but it never feels like they're hovering over you. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. It's really like having a second family.

Worst experience in my work history

The hospital manager plays a friendly front in the beginning along with every person there. As a receptionist be prepared to be treated like trash. The amount of ego in the staff and management was disgusting to put it nicely. Employees are yelled at in front of customers, doctors and techs are very rude to other staff. Everyday you are made to feel stupid. Raises don’t happen here. Requesting time off is like pulling teeth. It is borderline abuse there. I put in my notice and found a much better position with a company who cares about their employees.

managment

management was pleasant and informative. Staff was always willing to assist in salon duties if need be. Management was understanding and fair when personal/family issues would arise.
