If you want your job to be your life, this is the place for you
Sales (Former Employee) - Sarasota, FL - July 20, 2022
Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedExpect to figure everything out mostly on your own. Management will pretend to support you via micromanaging daily phone calls, but won’t respond to emails/texts/calls for days when you need something answered, and sometimes they never respond. No process, no clear direction, and no actual support to back up the lip service they give you. Pay is below average to average, with decent medical benefits, below average time off, and flashy bonuses they will try to get out of paying you. No retirement and no increase in benefits as your time with the company accrues. Experience will look decent on your resume, but not sure it’s worth the headache.

Disappointing
Employee (Former Employee) - Sarasota, FL - August 29, 2022
Management is very disorganized and unprofessional. Employees are segregated into dramatic cliques. No unity. No clear direction for new staff members. Unobtainable goals set for employees. Depressing atmosphere.

Exciting work, noble cause and very rewarding.
Manufacturing Technician (Current Employee) - Sarasota, FL - May 19, 2022
This is a great organization, welcoming coworkers and management team. Feels like I belong and they have continually invested in programs and benefits to help all employees. I see a lot of amazing artist who take tremendous pride in their work. Knowing that we are all contributing to healthcare education and improving outcomes globally is very exciting. I enjoy the culture and family atmosphere and knowing the management is mindful of the things that will allow me to grow as an employee. When you have had a bad experience previously you understand what a good employment opportunity actually is. Very happy to be here.
Pros
Great benefits, excellent compensation plan, room to grow and develop.
Cons
Am excited to see an employee investment program.

This is not the job for a special effects artist
SFX Artist/technician (Former Employee) - Sarasota, FL - April 1, 2022
It is said that this job is for artists but in reality it’s a factory. They lure special effects artists from schools with the promise of real “shop” experience but the quality of the work would not pass in any REAL shop. You will remain in one department with the promise of on-going training in other departments to keep an aspiring artist hooked. Upper management is misogynistic and will tell women they are too emotional at the workplace. If you do too much overtime to make up for the unrealistic deadlines, you are maliciously using company’s time. If you don’t do any overtime you will not be considered for any advancement. Some people have done 17+ hour shifts and others have slept in the office overnight. As an artist, feedback about our work is very important. You will not receive any feedback on how you can do better but people from all departments will gather and talk about your work where it is not even their place to judge. Don’t let the statements of “we are a family here” get to you. Whenever you hear something like that, RUN.
Pros
Rushed training, guaranteed full time hours
Cons
Factory, management, work/life balance, the benefits are mid

Bad work/life balance and bad pay for the skills of the job
Technician (Former Employee) - Sarasota, FL - March 1, 2022
Not required to work overtime but will be passed for raises and promotions if you don't do it. Some employees work 12 hours a day routinely. Positions require a high level of skill and management will push the limit of what is possible to complete. Burn out is part of the culture. You will learn a lot as an artist but they will exploit your inexperience until you realize that you deserve better.
Pros
OT training and the employees
Cons
OT compensation and burn out
