Fast pace work environment
Manager (Current Employee) - Hilliard, OH - July 11, 2023
Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedQuick to the point, advancement is few and far, once you move up the ladder not many place to go past that. Customer service is what the company was built on, sometimes feel that that is lost and the profits over the people are now the main focus

Decent pace, lack of continued training, poor pay
Booking Agent (Former Employee) - Hilliard, OH - September 10, 2023
They need you to hit crazy numbers, not enough technicians to get the opps needed but will press you to do more, not very flexible, management lacks.
Pros
Free coffee and snacks
Cons
Work-life balance, pay, time off

Service Technician (Current Employee) - Hilliard, OH - August 23, 2023
When I got here it was take care of the customer, now it’s sales and profit margins. Managers tell us we are salesman not plumbers. Don’t have a bad week because you won’t get any calls the next week. A lot of turnover and lay offs lately. Most stressed I’ve ever been

Overwhelming and underpaid
Customer Service Associate (Former Employee) - Hilliard, OH - August 17, 2023
This place used to be a great place to work, then there was a change and it became depressing and overwhelming. If you are not their favorite they will target you until they eventually get you to quit or they make up a reason to fire you. The only good thing about this place is the other employees, they are the rays of sunshine in a dark world.
Pros
Free lunch every once in a while
Cons
Bullied management and under paid

Not great
Drain Technician (Current Employee) - Columbus, OH - August 9, 2023
They don’t treat everyone fairly they pick and choose favorites, There isn’t a lot of jobs right now either. They blame a lot on the employees when it’s really the company that needs to make changes.

Positive and Fast Paced workplace
Call Center Lead (Current Employee) - Hilliard, OH - July 11, 2023
Eco genuinely cares about their people, community, and clients. I've never looked forward to going to work everyday until I joined this company. Yes that sounds cheesy and rehearsed but I honestly mean it. I have an amazing team and support system that has fostered my growth for a few years now and I can actually see a future for myself and my family working here. This is not an easy place to work by any means so if you're looking for a job where you can clock in, do some mind numbing tasks for 8 hours and clock out you should apply somewhere else. The pay structure is great for a call center with an awesome bonus structure in place and you will always feel like you have people behind you, supporting you.

Okay job
Plumber (Former Employee) - Hilliard, OH - June 27, 2023
They rush training too fast and throw as many bodies on the road as possible to maximize profits. Instead of giving them good training and making them decent plumbers, they give the bare minimum and immediately expect awesome results.
Pros
Free snacks
Cons
Bad management

Customer focused
Receptionist (Former Employee) - Columbus, OH - April 12, 2023
They are customer focused but that leaves little for you . You do not have a good home and work life balance. When you do not take care of your employees they are unhappy
Pros
Most of the co workers are nice
Cons
Managers are not listening to you at all it is like you are invisible

Do not work here
Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) - Hilliard, OH - March 15, 2023
They never seemed to congratulate you on your good deeds in the office, there is always a rivalry between the other office members, the management talks about you behind your back and will twist your words and throw it against you. They take your breaks away for weeks at a time and they treat you like robots.
Pros
Good snacks, the co workers are nice
Cons
No breaks, management support is not there, cliques in office

Jobs at Eco Plumbers, Electricians, and HVAC Technicians
The family type atmosphere is what draws you in
Dispatcher/Customer Service (Former Employee) - Hilliard, OH - December 27, 2022
At first everything is peaceful and high spirited. But get on the wrong side of one bad egg in management and kiss your comfort goodbye. It will then be that persons sole purpose to get you out. The other managers will back it up. Most everyone here is awesome until that one person decides you are out.
Pros
Snacks provided
Cons
One bad Apple ruined the bunch

No advancement, Pay Structure is Lacking, Poor Middle Management
Drain Technician (Former Employee) - Hilliard, OH - July 29, 2022
Deceptive practices, under pays employees, misleading advertisement, no REAL chance for advancement, poor leadership. Very long hours, always finds ways to take money from employees, poor workmanship! It’s all a fake facade at this company.

Challenging but rewarding Place to work.
LT (Current Employee) - Hilliard, OH - May 26, 2022
Working here at Eco the definitely identify your strengths and will assist you in your growth and development as a Tier 1 Technician with a very strong customer centered mindset. The training at Eco is by far compared to other companies leaps and bounds over their competitors. If there is an issue no matter the issue, Home or work they support and work with you within reason. The rate of growth this company is experiencing there will be growing pains but with that comes loads of advancement opportunity. When I worked for other companies I honestly dreaded coming to work. Here I wake up everyday happy and go to bed knowing I have done my part to help as many as I could that day. Never a dull day here and not the SSDD. (same stuff different day).

Great place to learn how to become a plumber
Apprentice Plumber (Current Employee) - Hilliard, OH - March 31, 2022
EcoU is a great place to learn how to do the basics of plumbing but your real learning will start when you get your own truck. That’s when you begin to make mistakes and learn from them in a personal way. The company stands behind you and is VERY supportive. You will have all the tools you need to succeed. The dean of EcoU can be a bit intense at times but it is because he wants you to strive to be the best you can be. Overall EcoU is very well equipped to teach you the basics and to set you up for success. It sounds like I’m a raving fan, but in reality this is what it was. 10/10.
Pros
Great place to jumpstart a career, free snacks
Cons
Sometimes you will have to work an hour or two late depending on the job

Great company
Service Plumber (Current Employee) - Hilliard, OH - October 20, 2021
Rapidly growing full service plumbing company. Tons of opportunities for growth and continued skill development. Currently just started Eco University (on the 3rd class) which is an in house trade school to give you a foundation to grow within the company in your respective department (service, install, drains, sewers, etc..) Eco university is more then just schooling you get in the field training on the job site enabling you to learn under a highly qualified technician. If you are considering Eco Plumbers as your future employer and family I highly recommend you give them the opportunity to give you a better future.
Pros
Good pay, food trucks, company events, growth opportunities, rapidly growing
Cons
Long days sometimes

Never a dull moment
Service Technician (Current Employee) - Hilliard, OH - August 19, 2021
This is the first residential plumbing service company I’ve worked for and as far as I’m concerned, the best. From the day I started I felt included and as if everyone at the company was there to help. I’ve worked a plethora of different jobs types including construction, sales, and restaurant service to name a few. Without a doubt I’ve never been at a company as awesome! Truly an amazing place to work. It is definitely a demanding job and can be stressful at times, but it is not without its rewards. Working at Eco Plumbers was easily one of the best decisions I’ve made in my life yet!
Pros
Pay, learning, work environment
Cons
Inconsistent schedule (some late nights, but not too many)

Dishonest shady company
CSR - Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) - Hilliard, OH - July 12, 2020
Do not try to get a job here. They are literally the most shady company I have ever worked for. They actively lie to their employees about compensation( because it’s funny to them) they lie about how long you have to train and learn the job fully. I was told at one point it was a 6 month learning curve to it changing to a 3-6 month learning curve. They fired me over my tone of voice not being upbeat enough. I literally was on the phone for 4 days total, had customers telling me I was pleasant to talk to, etc. they gave me no chance to fix this, as they never warned me. So, moral of the story, if you want to quit a job you’re currently at in the middle of a pandemic, or get off unemployment because it seems like this would be a good job, don’t. They will waste your time and energy. If you like a place that you can witness some ball taps, true story, then apply.
Pros
Pay
Cons
Everything else.

Official response from Eco Plumbers, Electricians, and HVAC Technicians
July 24, 2020We do our best to hire each and every person based on a great attitude and willingness to learn. We absolutely invest in our employees and that includes valuing their time. It's never our intention to resolve training concerns this way. Still, sometimes, the actual job turns out to require some specific natural abilities. So rather than having a person invest more time into the role, we believe that it is better to have them get back out there to find a better suited position for their skill set. When other positions within the company are available, we would always try to move the employee into a role that would best fit them. Open roles in other departments are not always available. Our HR department is always available to address specific concerns.
