Service Representative (Former Employee) –  Lunenburg, MAApril 24, 2018
EFI seems to be a great place to work at most days. There seems to be a constant power struggle with the manager and the other employees in the office. You can tell that everyone is very close for the most part. The younger generation and the older generation clash frequently. The attendance policy is extremely strict and a bit ridiculous. Also you are not allowed to bring your cellphone into the building. If you are even accused of having your cellphone on you, They will suspend you for a day. Even if you are off the clock.

Great place to work for
Machine Operator (Current Employee) –  Pawtucket, RIJanuary 16, 2018
Very good place to work for. They care about the employees and have great benefits. Anyone who complains about this place has apparently never worked in a different manufacturing plant before or they would realize how well they have it. Most employees that have been let go came down to poor attitude and have a hard time spelling their own name. You have to be an complete a** clown to get fired from this place. The ones that still work there are still there because they know they how well the company treats you . Management goes far beyond their limits to make sure you are happy. Management cannot get any better. I highly recommend working for Ecological Fibers if the opportunity presents itself.
Pros
Paid breaks, Paid Holidays, Great managment
Cons
Hot in the summer. cool in the winter.

stable job. great benefits. lack of appreciation. not much room for advancement.
Machine Operator/Slitter (Current Employee) –  Pawtucket, RIJanuary 4, 2018
Ecological fibers is a pretty good place to work if your willing to work long hours and are ok with not many advancement opportunities. The job is very stable and it would take a lot to get terminated. Management plays the favorites game. promotions are based of who you know not what you know. great benefits. Raises are once a year on average and pretty low if you ask me.
Pros
great benefits
Cons
short breaks, long hours, lack of advancement opportunities

Not a good environment to work in.
Quality Control Associate (Former Employee) –  Pawtucket, RIJanuary 27, 2017
I would not recommend working for this company as they were not truthful with me in regards to the job expectations. The majority of my prior work experience was not utilized in the position I was hired for, therefore making my success in the new position highly improbable. Training was aloof and could be compared with a non-swimmer being kicked into the deep end of the pool, and subsequently told to kick their legs. It was by far the worse experience I have ever had trying to learn a job.
Pros
none that i recall
Cons
hot in the summer and cold in the winter (or so I was told concerning winter)

Great place to work for those w/ strong work ethic & good attn to detail
Director, Business Operations (Current Employee) –  Lunenburg, MAAugust 7, 2015
Ecological Fibers is a great place to work for anyone who has a strong work ethic and wants unbelievable benefits. A family owned company so no one is a number. Everyone is on a first name basis. Been working at Ecological in the office for over 27 years. Many of the people working in the office and plant have been here 15 years or more, with more than 10 employees at the facility over 25 years. Some days can be busy & stressful, other days not so much. The hardest part of a Customer Service job at Ecological is that math skills and memorization of individual customer specifications are absolutely necessary as we are in a very specialized business. The owners are extremely loyal and care about their employees lives, health, and happiness. Employees are encouraged to offer their opinion on ways to improve efficiency and systems. Everyone has a voice.
Pros
Benefits are tremendous, family atmosphere, care about people
