A typical day as a pharmacy technician begins with running all scripts on auto refill. Once all those scripts printed we began filling bottles by either counting, pouring or simply label it accurately for all patients.

Great atmosphere to work in. Employees are happy to help new hires. Economy is a great pharmacy. They care about each customer and treat each customer equally.

If your hired as one thing the will probably move you to another. You pay will change more than your comfortable with. Micromanagement without clear goals and expectations is a real problem. Everything is based on personality not work. There are personality tests, personality goals and if you have a "good" personality you will get promoted if not demoted. I say personality not attitude for a reason. Your positive attitude will not help if you don't have the right personality. There are some people who are happy there but not many.

I love Economy Pharmacy! I have worked here for over 8 months & I am continuously amazed at how great the owners are to their employees! The owners not only care about their employees but they also care about their community.

If you like people & structure you will like your job here. There is set schedules & guarantee of hours. With that schedule. They stress customer service & giving back to their community. They really appreciate their employees. They give CITA awards, baskets filled with goodies on your work anniversary months, great company Christmas party with bonus/prizes & monthly meetings with mngt and HR.

Pros

Set schedule, guaranteed hours, quarterly bonus if goals met, great company culture, clear expectations, HR platform on an app you can view/maneuver on your phone, lots of staff for a pharmacy & great love of people.

Cons

45 minute lunch break, time off needs to be requested by 15th the month before.

The company will work their employees to the bone

This company does not care much for their employees and have even been bluntly rude with employees playing favorites within the company. They are more about making money then trying to balance employee mental well-being with it.

Do not waste your time

Economy Pharmacy is the worst place I have ever worked at. The managers, as stated in another review, have obvious favorites. I was not valued at all during my time here as an employee or even a human being! All they care about is money even if it hurts the patients. If you want a job in health care or a job at all, stay very far away from this place! You will work long hours with no breaks with minimal pay.

They really give a lot to the community. There is a big focus on company culture & customer service. Although they are a growing company, there is very much a sense of small business pride.

Helps work with college schedule! It’s a fun first job. You will get to do fun displays and help customers find what they are looking for over the counter and help them with their prescriptions.

unfair work conditions management played favoratism all the time.

It started good but it soon became clean that management favored certain employees. And employees were not treated equal. and as an Independent pharmacy they had the right to treat people the way they saw fit is what I was told.
