You have to be a self-starter to work for this company. They allow you to teach with your own style thereby grooming you to be a better instructor. The staff members are supportive of each other and I've had no problems with management so far.

Great place

I have had no issues working here. Very flexible and accommodating to my schedule. Pay is the best I’ve seen at any other private college in the area.

Not great

Management for nursing program is terrible. Focus is on profit over integrity of nursing profession. Poor leadership and little direction is provided and faculty turn over rate is very high. Health care benefits are also not good, and very little PTO/sick days.

Great place & environment if you do your job. Great staff & supervisors Benefits are greatWish PTO was better, since you are mandated to take during certain holidays.

Job seekers rely on your experience.

Every work experience is unique. Let people know your thoughts on previous employers.

For profit school means the student is the profit and the income is the measure of success.

Poor leadership. Poor quality. Poor pay. The company is lead by a family to make profit off of education, specifically and especially from military members and families. The way they sell it is as an accelerated program to get you into the market faster (not better) they are paid in full and you are out the door left to realize the corners cut and disservice that provides you as a graduate. The compensation is horrible, and to make it better the school loves hiring grads for short term periods post graduation because it helps them flub their numbers and confuse metrics regarding post graduation employment. ECPI has a great habit of laying off teachers on teacher appreciation week, or right after they announce how great they are doing as a company. ECPI should let education be done by academic institutions with the goal to educate vs make education their means to make a profit. They thrive on taking advantage of the GI bill and folks with a 'get rich quick' idea of education.I would recommend anyone to apply to any other place as a student but ECPI. And any educators employed by them, please know you likely deserve better from a real academic institution.

There are many other schools to go to other than a dumpster fire

They will keep up this education for profit game until they become Trump Steaks

Okay Place

Ecpi has shown to be a steady company with some growth potential. When other for-profit schools closed their doors ECPI remained. As an adjunct for many years the one area they really suck at is pay. Their adjunct pay has not changed in 15 years and that could be a problem for someone relying on this company as a primary source of income.

Steady work

Low wages for adjuncts

Good pay and training. Hours and demand are tough.

Good place to work. Nice facilities and training was done well. The people are enjoyable to be around. The hours were horrible if you want any time of work life balance. No need to be open weekends or holidays in most of the roles. The late nights also were just plain unneeded. A few of the corporate changes in policy though and it would be one of the best places to work easily. The constant logging in, tech issues make you crazy.

Schedule, tech issues, corporate oversight

Great so far!

Good so far. Everyone seems nice and the pay is great more than.m I expected. I didn’t know too much about the school before but the staff seems very friendly!

Toxic culture from top to bottom

If you are searching for a job where you thrive in a culture of toxicity, no growth, upper management bullying employees, and lies upon lies, well look no further. ECPI is the place for you.

None whatsoever

Bullying, hours, benefits, upper management

Not all Campuses are the same!

Not all Campuses are the same, the campus I worked for was super friendly and everyone really cared about one another. This made working together really easy and fun. Advancement is possible if you are qualified and if there is an opening, which can be difficult sometimes. Policies change which causes difficulty, especially with students.

Friendly environment

Difficulty with policy changes, lack of training, small raises

Good company to work for. Flexible hours and good employee benefits. Contributing to 401K, helps with tuition for going back to school. Great location

Never Boring

Can't say enough good about the environment my boss creates - best manager ever. Overall the university tries hard to keep you involved and to feel rewarded.

free lunches, flexible hours

salary, sick and vacation limits (i.e. there are definite times you can't take off)

Terrible work environment with miserable hours

Hours are 7:30am until 10:30pm as instructors are expected to teach day and night classes. Pay is low, benefits fair. Lots of back-stabbing and favoritism. Some instructors just stand outside and smoke with students every chance they have. I don't recommend this place!

Official response from ECPI University

Thank you for the comments and the suggestions. We are always looking for ways to reduce benefits costs as well as to offer more benefits for our employees.

Not a good company

The company will work you way over your salary. Also, the stress level is much higher than many more competitive sales jobs. The worst part of ECPI is that they make you sign a non compete even though they really don't have ANY TRADE SECRETS! Managers are constantly fired, same with faculty. Do not work for this company

Horrible Place to Work

As a full time faculty member, you are on salary .. but are pretty much forced to work well over 40 hours per week, teach so many more hours than reasonably manageable, and it is a thankless job. Management is terrible and really do their part to let faculty know their "position." Very bad culture. I would not recommend this as a place to work for anyone.

Think wisely. I was threatened by another instructor and administration did nothing. PPC compensation does not include planning time that it takes, yet you are also expected to tutor at least twice per week.

No raise gotta go

No one wants to give you a raise and they have you working long hours,if your not Nursing oh well you treated differently. Needs training on diversity, give raises , allow training. Show gratitude, stop promising jobs to people and then don’t give. A lot of gossiping no trust . I will be leaving soon found a job who appreciates. A lot of people leaving, give out bonus

Productive and relaxed environment

Great place to work Great co-workers Good management Great location Employees are not micro managed Flexible with time off Flexible with work hours and able to work on Saturdays.

no flexability

Not treated as professionals Salary employees but have to clock in and out and they take PTO away if you do not make the hours in seat. Regardless of the multiple hours at home that you are not paid for. No consistency in teaching any classes Too much material to teach in 5 weeks Demand of time is unattainable without sacrificing family time that you are not paid for. No control over classes you are teaching, assigned by management Burn out rate really high
