Numbers, numbers, numbers. Customers, customers, customers. Money, money, money. UPT, conversion...adding new clients...helloo...no one wants personal shoppers anymore!! It's stressful and unfriendly at times depending who you work with and if you have a good team or Mgrs.

The work environment is very casual. The culture is adventurous but many of the tenured employees are quite jaded and do not have a positive outlook on the company.l

The work environment of Eddie Bauer when I was there was very competitive and not very healthy. The Management always wanted to be the best sellers and would cut the hours of the better performers in order to make themselves look good. The staff was not welcome to a person with more experience in retail then them and I felt constantly on edge about my employment there. I am glad that it was only a summer job.
