safety orientated company
Over the Road Driver (OTR Driver) (Current Employee) - Charlotte, NC - August 11, 2020
My first otr as a truck driver job. It was quite a learning experience for me. Work was constantly busy and changing due to the season and weather conditions. Overall it is a great place to work. Good money. Run you any way you want to run. Safety orientated. Give you great loads and they run you all over the plcae.

Great job to have
Owner/Operator (Current Employee) - Charlotte, NC - May 6, 2020
This is a great company to work for. It is fair and well ran. Just let your dispatcher know what you need and they will keep you safe and take care of you. The team lead is always checkin in on me to update me with the market and best places to haul. Only bad thing is the cornavirus and the decline of rate and load value across the country. Hoping that once the economy opens up again, it will go back to normal. ELE is working hard to take care of me and I appreciate that.

Not making money
Owner/Operator (Former Employee) - Charlotte, NC - April 29, 2020
Company talk real good about what they offer. Was told I could pick a truck, trucks had APUs in it, a bed and when they finally wanted me to come in, they didn't have other trucks. They gave me a truck with a piece foam as a bed with no A/C in sleeper. You pay for everything here. Recruiter lies to you to make the company sound better than they really are. First 2 checks were under $100. Current drivers told me to keep track of my settlements.

ELE is great
Owner/Operator (Current Employee) - Charlotte, NC - April 2, 2020
You get what they promise and the job satisfaction is overwhelming and very profitable. The culture and the people are great to work with and management really cares about what concerns the drivers and the employees have.

Reliable and trustworthy
Driver/Operator (Current Employee) - Charlotte, NC - March 13, 2020
Love what I do and ELE gives the tools to do my job at a high level. So I appreciate what they have going on. There’s always someone you can call and talk too when you run into a issue on the road thankful for that. They have a support team and equipment is modern and new. Will take me home when I need to go there.

Can’t beat ELE
Driver/Operator (Current Employee) - Charlotte, NC - February 27, 2020
ELE is a company of their word and they sold me on this when I first joined. Now 4 years later, still not looking back even when i tried other transportation companies out. You just can't beat ELE and trust me I do not settle for less than the best cuz of the wife. If you want to get the miles they got them for you and great communication from dispatch. They leased me one of their new trailers and i take care of their equipment just as they take care of me. They work hard to make me happy and successful. Drivers are treated and compensated well. Awesome management team who are on it if you have a issue.

This is one of the best companies I've worked for, I've would recommend this company to everyone or anyone who is looking for a good company work for. Very family oriented. I now have been here approx 8 months and this has been the best company I have worked for in my 15 year career. Management cares about its drivers and their futures. I was given all the tools to succeed and have done so.

please stay away
Driver/Operator (Former Employee) - Charlotte, NC - February 14, 2020
They like to sugar cote their company; you will not make any money there. They take loads that pay as low as 1.20 a mile, rather u can make you bills or not they still get their 20% . if u get a checked by the DoT they will charge u $500, and when u quit they will take another $1000. When you ran out of money, they just leave u on the side of the road, god help u if u have a break down simple put.. LEACH stay way!!!!!!

great place
Driver (Current Employee) - Charlotte, NC - December 3, 2019
man..some of these comments im seeing look fabricated. ELE is a great place to work at and i have nothing but good things to say. The company is well organized and committed to safety. I've worked for CRST, JB Hunt, and Schneider...ELE beats them all, pay, hometime, and willing to work with you if you work with them.

Ele is an awesome company
Regional Driver (Current Employee) - Charlotte, NC - November 8, 2019
I’ve worked locally for 2 other companys, and I must say ELE has been so good to me and I have met a ton of friendly and genuine people. The company is well organized and they always make sure you are safe over the road. If you love spending weekends with your family while earning a decent living come join the ELE family. I would recommend anybody to work for them.

Great Place to Work At!
Driver (Current Employee) - Charlotte, NC - October 16, 2019
I have nothing but good things to say about ELE Logistics. To become a great truck driver you have to sacrifice a lot, but success is imminent here. The company takes well care of their drivers, equipment, their employees and treats everyone fairly. Hardest part about this job is being away from family and friends. The perks is seeing the country while on the road and my dispatcher ACTUALLY works with me. I understand the demand and commitment a truck driver has so I don't complain about home time but I got to say I'm home at least every weekend.
I couldn't be more content with my employment. I've worked at different trucking companies and they don't even come close. The pay is great for what I do. If you are looking for a job where you are treated with respect and appreciation this is the place. Hard work pays off and so does commitment.

payroll
Driver/Operator (Former Employee) - Chicago, IL - February 20, 2019
Make sure you read the contract they want you to sign it says 1000 fine for not giving a 2 week notice and then if you don't stay 90 days they fine you another 1000 for that.

O/O they don’t have the freight there !if it’s money your after run ! However .....if you just want a basic pay check and nothing else there fine!
O/O Driver (Former Employee) - Charlotte, NC - January 31, 2019
ELE will not have your best interest at heart! They will sale you a dream and if you don’t know the game you will fail! They don’t have a good customer base there like some bigger companies .They do work off load boards but others have load boards and customer based freight to keep you moving ...not there! They have a very high turnover rate because they get you in but can’t keep you working ,not enough to advance your business or earn that excellent salary we truckers hear about . you have to live home with mom or have no truck payment or bills.....Or you have to have some money laying around to actually make ends meet .But again if you just want a check go for it they’ll get you some type of money every week . And also in all fareness for me other than the lack of money they where ok some other improvements to be made .But for me I was told that I could make upwards of $5,000 a week depending on me and how I ran . So I bought a new truck .Well I left on Sunday and returned on Friday and sometimes Saturday(And I assure you I can run some miles)every week and averaged about $1300-$1400 before taxes and maintenance . Well if you do the math that’s not going to get it .Any way they get you home when you want .So it depends on you if you want to be go there I would but when you find out the truth don’t waste your time get out it want get better!
Cons
Not enough consistent pay

Good experience at ELE. My wife ended up taking a job in a different state. Sad to leave but found great friends while I was there for 2.5 years. Great culture, great people from the owners to the coworkers.

Good co-workers terrible management
Load Planner/Dispatch (Former Employee) - Charlotte, NC - May 2, 2016
Normal days included searching for loads on an internet load board as well as routing, communicating, and selling loads to drivers. I learned to negotiate with freight brokers and general knowledge of pitching a sale to drivers taking high paying loads.
Management was absolutely terrible. There is no responsibility that management ever acknowledges as theirs nor is there any accountability for the actions taken if there is a negative result.
The hardest part of the job was negotiating for a good price when the market rates were low or depending on factors such as fuel prices.
The most enjoyable thing was successfully pitching a sale or booking a load that payed extremely well.
