Working as a scribe in the Emergency Department was a great place to quickly accumulate skills such as medical terminology and data entry (learning to use the Electronic Medical Record system). It also provided a learning environment that enabled me to understand how receptionists, aids, nurses, nurse practitioners and physician assistants, and doctors - more ... all work together.
