Too much negativity
Administrative Assistant (Former Employee) –  Beachwood, OHAugust 5, 2019
This place is full of negativity. The owners are rude and arrogant, the patients are demanding, and the colleagues never lend you a hand. Leave as soon as you can, and stay away. The money the pay seems like a joke in a couple of weeks of working here.

State Tested Nursing Assistant (Former Employee) –  Middleburg Heights, OHJuly 23, 2019
Management don’t care about major staffing issues, filthy environment ,no room to grow or advance terrible pay, residents know all of staff personal business and about other resident which is a major hippa violation. The DON won’t even look at u when your having a conversation her head is either down or looking around the room never any eye contact . New administrator terrible just wanna walk around looking cute versus cleaning that building up it have great potential if the right people was in charge. I was told by a still current employee that last week NOT one stna showed up for 3-11 shift and that day shift had to stay over and night shift came in early and management still went home with the staffing crisis. If you don’t wanna work extremely short on a daily to regular basis with low pay no incentives then DONT apply at royal oak!!!!!

Embassy is a joke. management team in the Portage county area is a joke. Not following proper guidelines. lie about staffing and put people on the schedule who aren't really working. people with wounds with no treatments. Patients losing weight Medication errors with no investigation. They cover everything up. Horrible place.

Worst company that I have ever worked for.
Regional QA Nurse (Former Employee) –  Cleveland, OHJuly 14, 2019
Stay clear of this company. The owners only care about money & not about the residents or staff. The state should shut all of the Embassy buildings down.

Administrative Assistant (Former Employee) –  Beachwood, OHMay 28, 2019
They do not appreciate their employees. Employee turnover was very high and the compensation was not worth the hard work put in by the employees. We were understaffed and this meant taking over extra responsibilities.
Pros
Awesome residents

Sad Excuse for a Healthcare Provider
Management (Former Employee) –  Cleveland, OHMay 13, 2019
This company is a sad excuse for a healthcare provider. The owners are HORRIBLE human beings, the regional management staff are clueless and assent. Every building has horrible turnover due to lack of staff, very low wages, TERRIBLE benefits. I would never recommend anyone to this disgusting company.

Embassy is a good company, The CEO is compassionate
DIRECTOR OF SOCIAL SERVICES (Former Employee) –  Beachwood, OHOctober 11, 2018
Very busy workload, management hides behind closed doors which affected care/accountability. Need to have a team leader that is compassionate for the staff and the residents, this lacked at the facility I worked at. Not all embassy facilities are alike
Pros
line staff and residents are awesome
Cons
Short staffed, Management did not team lead

Poorly run and don't pay their bills/employees
Director of Admissions & Marketing (Former Employee) –  Maple Heights, OHJune 20, 2018
This company owes everyone and gets cut off all the time when trying to work with vendors.Employees are under paid and the turnover is ridiculous! The regional management doesn't have the time to get to the individual sites so there is lack of support. The owners are not realistic and believe that there buildings should be fully occupied when they don't improve them and most are out dated and don't even begin to be competitive compared to the new structures that are going up all over the state of Ohio!!!
Pros
Some nice co-workers
Cons
Horrible Salary, benefits are terrible, extreme turnover

STNA/CNA (Current Employee) –  North Ridgeville, OHJune 15, 2018
There is no typical day for anyone its health care and things are different each day. I have learned that you have to be flexible when working in long term care. Management staff are supportive. The workplace is relaxed and family oriented with great teamwork and support. Remaining emotionally available without becoming attached to the people you care for is the most difficult. The most enjoyable would be spending time with the patients and sharing stories.

Poor, Pathetic, No Professionalism
Marketing (Former Employee) –  Cleveland, OHMay 30, 2018
Embassy healthcare destroys every building they touch. Between administrators that know nothing, nurses that give horrible care, and a husband/wife owner team...this company is fit to care for animals much less people in need of compassionate care. Nursing is always working under staffed and have zero supplies to provide adequate care.

The only thing that means anything to this company is the all mighty dollar!

Supportive Environment
Nurse Manager (Current Employee) –  Cleveland, OHMarch 7, 2018
The culture of a supportive small company, with the benefits of a bigger corporation! The owners expect quality resident centered care for each resident, while providing a positive work experience with competitive salary and benefits. Career growth is encouraged with much chance for education and internal promotions. Residents are treated as individuals and every attempt is made to meet all their needs and choices. This is a great company to start or advance your career!
Pros
The ability to give quality care! Encouragement to pursue your personal career goals!
Cons
Negotiating the usual nursing home regulations while meeting resident needs.
