Pros
free food, good co-workers, nice clients
Cons
healthcare, management, stressful, under paid

too much work for little pay
Rehabilitation Specialist II (Former Employee) –  El Paso, TXApril 7, 2018
workplace was a good experience, learned a lot from the company. Except that the case loads were too much and little pay rate. The company expects you to complete at least 100 face-to-face working hours. At times, mission is hard to complete due to certain circumstances. You get written up or threaten to terminate you if you continue to not meet the 100 hours of service.
Pros
great benefits
Cons
poor management

Caseworker II (Current Employee) –  El Paso, TXJanuary 22, 2018
They tell you it is a non-profit organization to help out people. Its a non-profit organization FOR profit. The upper management expects caseworkers to meet certain amount of 80-100 billable hours each month. Even if you improve, you are still given a write up. Holiday months like November and December are not taken into account. You are liable, even for the consumer that did not show up to their appointments. If you dont meet certain hours you are bound to get suspended and fired, no matter how hard you are trying. Caseworkers are pretty much the backbone of the company, the ones that are filling upper management's pockets with money, but it ends up being a high turn over job for these reasons.

Emergence is very busy with no guidance from management. Caseworkers are over worked and under paid. Caseloads are not management and unrealistic. Population served are very demanding.

Nice Place to work for. Couldn't have asked for better coworkers.
Case Manager II - Skills Trainer (Former Employee) –  El Paso, TX 79902October 29, 2017
A typical day at work was going for staff meetings, counseling clients with issues such as assisting them find a place to work, live , pay bills etc.. I learned how to be a more efficient worker and team player. Management was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. The hardest part of the job was seeing clients come into the clinic that refused all help available to them. The most enjoyable part of my job being able learn from such amazing nurses, therapist and doctors.
Pros
Paid time off
Cons
Computers not always working properly

management is good the workplace culture is alright hardest part of the job is the database is horrible, have to go out and see men women and children that have attempted or want to attempt suicide. most enjoyable part of the job is when you help someone in crisis and you see a weight lifted off of them.
Pros
Coworkers are nice, fast paced.
Cons

Poor managers, dont care about there employees, not being appriciated, to much turn arround for caseworkers
Case Manager (Former Employee) –  El Paso, TXSeptember 1, 2017
Dont wast you time working for this company if you want to make a difference. Bipolar managers that can hire and fire quickly HR cant back you up. Managment can get away with things since no one is long enough there to back you up.
Pros
Coworkers are great, population you work with are amazing
Cons
Bad Management. No raises no matter how hard you work

Caseworker II (Former Employee) –  El Paso, TXAugust 21, 2017
This company does have a lot of benefits and good pay. You need to learn how to manage your time and use it wisely. A lot of traveling in your own vehicle, so be aware of that, you are paid mileage though.

In Need of good management with experience on working with population and welling to learn all the policies and regulations. It's a hard population and demanding but just believe that need people that will work for the people and not for the check or because someone knows you.
Pros
Flexible schedule in need of an emergency
Cons
Cover for others when in need

Sr. Administrative Assistant- (Former Employee) –  El Paso, TXAugust 1, 2017
You are hired at will and they don't hesitate to take advantage of that for any small error made. Everyone is always looking over your shoulder and you can be demeaned publicly at the CEO's will.

Qualified Mental Health Professional (Current Employee) –  El Paso, TXMarch 27, 2017
Working with and for this populations has been a pleasure, however management is poor and inconsiderate. There is no room for professional growth and due to all the inconsistencies the units are never fully staffed.

Not the greatest place to work
Case Manager (Former Employee) –  El Paso, TXMarch 23, 2017
No real training, unrealistic expectations, horrible management and not fair ,equal treatment. The case loads were ridiculously large. Late work days and no over time pay only comp time that was difficult to a take. I would not work for this agency again.
Pros
Paid travel time
Cons
No time for lunch and overload of cases
