CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant in Carson City, NV
on December 4, 2022
What is the best part of working at the company? The residents are honestly better than many other places I’ve worked at, and some of the staff is amazing. Mostly the staff that has been there for a while, I can’t speak on new stuff. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? This place typically runs short staffed and they are pushy when you can’t work. I understand most places are understaffed but avoiding burn out and giving employees a work to life balance needs to be a priority as well. What is the work environment and culture like at the company?HR is terrible, and the staff can be super “clicky” which I’m not a fan of. They don’t really care about their CNA’s as much as their nurses. What is a typical day like for you at the company?Go there get residents ready, do breakfast, put down residents who need to be put down, do rounds, snack time, rounds again and then get up for lunch, then lunch itself. Pm shift, get there put residents down for a nap, rounds, snack time, rounds and get up for dinner, finish showers, put down for bed, rounds again Noc, do rounds and clean up things that need to be done and get up anyone who needs/is ready to get up once morning comes around since it’s early.

New to the area, this company is not too bad. It's about the same anywhere you go but I really do like the flexibility I get with my schedule and the staff have all been helpful

By far worst place to work for you will be treated unfairly residents are lucky to even get a shower a work if you have health or mental issues don't let them find out or you're fired but if you have a drug problem and need a job it's the job for you just be prepared to lie for management and nurses

Decent pay, supportive management who make you feel valued. The downside is that you're always short staffed and there isn't a lot of opportunities for advancement

The boss here doesn't care about how much you work. Management is a joke. You will never get a raise you will be hired as full time employee but they mark you as part time. You'll work all holiday's and be paid bare minimal Once there is enough housekeepers the boss and assistant boss sit in the basement. You will not be appreciated for what you do it's never enough. If you want a job of grown adults acting like childish teenage high schoolers this is your spot.
