Associate (Former Employee) –  Winston-Salem, NCDecember 3, 2018
Turnover is high because people are unhappy. The HR department runs people away. they let them basically run the company. They will find a way to fire you.

Revenue Cycle Specialist (Current Employee) –  Winston-Salem, NCApril 21, 2018
The management provides accurate feedback to help employees succeed in their position. They offer on the job training and encourage advancement within the company. The hardest part of the job is using time management skills to prioritize a large workload and answer a lot of emails. The best part of the job are organized break time activities like meditation and stretching, outside speakers invited to come in for Lunch and Learn, and a culture that encourages curiosity and diversity. Good insurance and benefits. Opportunity to purchase from lunch trucks and break time frozen yogurt or bakery items. If you communicate, work hard to meet the standards for your job, and respect fellow employees you can be successful.
Pros
opportunity, respect, training, feedback, recognition, fun, benefits

Moving In the Right Direction
Manager (Current Employee) –  Winston-Salem, NCDecember 13, 2017
There have been a lot of positive changes to help improve the corporate culture at EMS|MC over the last 2 years. Management has made a real effort to engage employees in order to improve individual roles as well as the company as a whole. There is an emphasis on collaboration and team building to not only improve efficiency, but also effectiveness. You are able to grow in your role and advance. The work environment is fun, but professional and you are offered a flexible schedule. Most importantly, there is a constant strive to do a better job not only for our clients, but for each other.

Awfully Stressful
Team Lead (Former Employee) –  Winston-Salem, NCDecember 11, 2017
It is a production based company, so in order to meet standards there is an extremely high stress level, it was so bad at one point that xanax and ativan were being shared and distributed throughout the staff in order to help each other out. People always felt that they could be fired at any minute and Overtime of at least 10 hours per week was mandatory, sometimes it was more that 10 hours that was required. The sales people don't care about what the staff can handle, they promise the clients whatever they want and then the staff has to try and deal with the demands.

Private Equity Owners Don't care about culture or employees
Chief Executive Officer (Former Employee) –  Clemmons, NCNovember 28, 2017
Highly mismanaged by PE with the sole intention to drain the company profits to their investors and employees. Executive team not knowledgeable of industry or agile enough to be flexible to dynamic to market/industry changes to remain competitive or profitable.
Pros
Founder established an extraordinary culture of entusiasm and rewarded success
Cons
New owners gave a 180 degree shift in the original corporate culture and high turn over prevailed

Great opportunities for advancement within 6 mons of employment
Customer Service Supervisor (Former Employee) –  Winston-Salem, NCMay 23, 2017
I like the company overall. Some people are great, helpful and friendly. They need to start a work from home program. Their fears about it doesn't make sense, especially since companies are now successfully employing thousands to work from home. This small company of 200 or less, really need to get on board. It can be managed well and work out for the employer and employees.
Pros
Friendly, they promote within 6 mos, helpful, some flexibility, casual.
Cons
High deductible medical plans, Some upper Mgmt didnt know their own team members.

Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) –  Winston-Salem, NCMarch 2, 2016
Wonderful company to be employed by who focuses on production but also on satisfying employees with ample benefits including 401k, PTO and health benefits. This company continues to move in the right direction with clients and staff by implementing improvements on both sides of their business. This company expects you to work hard but in return they reward their employees. The best part of this job is having a voice to make suggestions for changes that affect business in a positive way.
Pros
Free lunch quarterly, fitness classes, friendly management, fairly flexable work schedule
Cons
None come to mind.

The employees have the best intentions for the clients but Management is out of control.
Employee (Former Employee) –  United StatesOctober 20, 2014
From what I understood, the company was very well run until the owner sold to investors. The new CEO was brought in by investors.

Within 18 months there were two waves of layoffs. The first could theoretically be chalked up to new management, but the second consisted of quite a few people hired by the new management. All outside sales laid off in first wave and all replacements laid off in the second.

New CEO has created an environment of fear due to completely erratic and capricious behavior.
Pros
90% of workforce really know what they are doing an have great intentions.
Cons
Unprofessional and erratic upper management
