It's better than retail...but that's about it
What can I say? It beats out working at a chain retail store as a pharmacist. Weekend rotations are every 4th weekend. The hours are pretty bad though. When you are first hired, you will work 2:30-11PM Monday through Friday. There is this thing called a shift bid that ranks all pharmacists by number. You are competing with your coworkers for - more... a higher ranking in order to bid for a better schedule. This includes productivity, attendance, adherance, personal time, and mistakes, which are called CAPAs. Sometimes mistakes are actually caused because of the computer system or overly complex ... - less
ProsOccasional free food, competitive pay, 4 week long training program, the other pharmacists and techs are nice (but you won't get to talk to them really)
ConsNothing there ever seems to change for the better, only worse. It wasn't so bad when I started.
