New hire orientation is a joke. You attend two days of presentations then several days with HealthStream then they turn you lose. Very little time spent with a preceptor or mentor. They set you up for failure and this keeps them from giving raises at evaluation time.

Lazy nurses, and techs sleeping on the job, leaving the building 3 to 4 times a shift to go on smoke breaks leaving already short techs on the floor the nurse try to tell on techs and they get writing up but when techs tell on nurses the nurse get mad nurse have gotten faired and or on probation because of sleeping and not answering call bells RNs and LPNs

I resigned from this company because of the drama/ politics played by upper management and staff members that kiss up to them. This company main focus is quantity not QUALITY! Everything is about making a dollar even if ipatients care is jeopardize. Most staff members complained about being under paid but over work. At some point one will realize it’s not that important to become great at something that has no meaning to Life. I decided I would have rather work for a company that is loyal to patient care and their employees.
