Material Handler/Forklift Operator (Former Employee) –  Allentown, PAFebruary 21, 2018
The job is easy and it pays well but the way the warehouse is run cancels out the positives. Worst management team I’ve ever worked for. Someone can make a simple mistake and could potentially be fired for it, just a bad place to work do not recommend

Pay
Cons
Everything else

Battery Technician (Former Employee) –  Richmond, KYJanuary 30, 2018
A typical day starts for first shift at 4 am and ends at 2:30 pm. You are required to wear a respirator and shower after each shift. You are exposed to high levels of lead, arsenic, and acid. You must maintain a set production and it is very fast paced and strenuous.
Pros
Competitive Wages
Cons
The daily exposure of high lead, arsenic, and acid.

Pay is awesome but lots of drama.. Management does not care about you!! You are just a number to them it's that simple. Very fast paced work, and always was under staffed. And u work lots of over time. Work 6 days a week for most of the year. If you can deal with all the BS the pay is awesome. Good luck

Man got cut with a knife by another employee on 3rd shift in the face. Unprotected parking lot, people from time to time come in and try to get in vehicles.Mandatory overtime with little to no notice. They do not do random drug screening and thats a big issue. Ventilation is awefull.
Pros
pay decent
Cons
ventilation, too much too list

Senior Engineering Manager (Current Employee) –  Pinellas Park, FLMay 22, 2017
Great company if you want to generate sales. This is a sales centric company, therefore, engineers are an afterthought. Unfortunately, because engineering is not a cherished asset, the company does not have a progressive approach to innovation. The general philosophy for innovation is "we will buy the next big thing." Eventually, EnerSys will parish when the next big thing can't be bought.
Pros
Work life balance

Engineers are an afterthought

Material Handler (Current Employee) –  Warrensburg, MOJanuary 19, 2017
Material handlers work in warehouses and production facilities to move products. This might mean finding materials on the shelves and wrapping them and putting them on a delivery truck, or pulling materials off the truck and putting them in the proper shelf spot

fad (Current Employee) –  SCDecember 29, 2016
enersys sumter metal plant is a fast growing plant your advancin in the company is solely on you they give you the tool to do your job and expect you to do it which doesn't happen all the time it's not a bad place to work they give you usually 48 hrs notice on overtime unless customers demand more I enjoy working here you will hear in any plant favoritism but usually the people saying that are the same ones who calls out / or just come to work for a paycheck and they are the ones who don't care ^if you have more bad days than good days at any job do yourself a favor and quite
Pros
paid lunch, salary, advancement is up to you

Fit welder (Former Employee) –  Sumter, SCOctober 29, 2016
Little to no preventive maintenance, old worn equipment, efficiency rating is very difficult to achieve, little to no notice of overtime happened alot, management only cares about efficiency, safety was a joke, supervisor had no knowledge of how to do my job and had no answers to any questions, gave welders gardening gloves to weld in, cheapest welding they could buy, favoritism was more than obvious, overall this placed sucked.
Pros
Check never bounced, made decent money but it wasnt worth it

Assembly Worker (Former Employee) –  Cleveland, OHOctober 1, 2015
a typical day at work was very exhausting. I learned I do not like a fast pace job. Management did not care how you felt. my co-workers were fine they understood how I felt. The hardest part of the job was keeping up with the line. The most enjoyable part of the job was joking with co-workers.
Pros
great pay and benefits
Cons
long periods of work with no break
