Be prepared for a real interview :). There is such a high demand for therapists in general that often the interview is almost just a formality with some employers. Our facility leaders really invest the time to get to know you and allow you to get to know them. Many of them may even require a second interview to make sure they are hiring the right person to compliment their team. Ask to shadow the therapy team if you can work it into your schedule - that will really give you a good feel for the department dynamics, etc. and help you decide if this is the team for you! Finally - don't forget the basics! Dress professionally, be on time, have a clean resume, be courteous during the interview, and demonstrate interest in the facility, team and therapy programs they are running even if you decide that this is not the job you want to pursue. You never know when you might run into another of our facilities or where this rehab director might end up working next and they remember the bad interviews!
