A fun place to work. Very fast paced but everyone worked together. Driving all of the different cars was fun. Running them through the wash was fun too.

Enterprise is a good company to work for if you're looking for a longterm corporate gig. Almost everyone starts from the bottom as a management trainee in the rental division. It's hard, stressful work, and sales are the driving force of the company.
The dream is to either run a branch or get to the administrative office.
People are underpaid and over worked, but its nice to have benefits.
Pros
get to work with friends, career advancement
Cons
long hours, bad pay, expensive benefits, too many bosses

Management trainee (Former Employee) –  Austin, TXJanuary 29, 2019
At Enterprise you're never really prepared for the day when it starts. You're always kind of winging it and hoping that specific types of vehicles return. This is a sales job with immense pressure to sell insurance. There's no work/life balance at this job at all.

This company will work you hard. They will push you to become a better sales person. However, you need to make sure that you focus on customer service throughout.

Worked this job while still in school was fun and the people were great. There was not much as far as advancement offered to me but it was a great place to work while going through school. Very willing to work with you on hours and around your schedule.

Management Assistant (Current Employee) –  Austin, TXDecember 13, 2018
Enterprise will hire you on and make you feel like you are going to be part of a great team. Really, you are just working your butt off 55 hours a week for minimal pay, you spend half your day hating your life and washing cars, and none of the management appreciates your work. Dont expect a raise either unless you work there for 10+ years. Youre better off not applying.

Good opportunity/Tough Hours
Assistant Manager (Current Employee) –  Austin, TXApril 22, 2018
Enterprise is a pressure cooker of a company with lots of opportunities for advancement, but at the expense of your work/life balance.

A typical day sees you arriving at work around 6:45a and leaving around 6:15p. During the day, the goal is to drive sales, revenue, and make sure that your staff has what they need to meet demand. Employees get experience in managing staff, creating sales and marketing plans, financial management, and other tasks that are typically characteristic of running a small business venture. However, Enterprise often times under equips you for this task; overbooking is extremely common.

The enjoyable aspects of the job revolve around the team chemistry and the fun of sales contests and fitting the "pieces of the puzzle" together to maximize your branch's profit. The environment is fast paced and I am rarely ever bored.

The challenging aspect is that it is a very high stress role with long hours and (in my opinion) a pay structure that requires you to consistently work overtime to earn a living wage. Enterprise will sharpen your ability to handle confrontation as well; customer service and handling unpleasant interactions are a large part of the job.
Pros
Advancement opportunity, Well rounded experience, Competitive
Cons
Long hours, Low payment structure, Under-resourced

Management Assistant (Current Employee) –  Austin, TXApril 3, 2018
You learn a lot about yourself and what you are capable of achieving. A typical day at work is very fast paced and there is never a dull moment. The culture of the workplace is different at every location you work at. Every manager runs their branches differently which is a learning experience because each manager has something new to teach you.
Pros
Great benefits, diverse environment and great Human Resources team
Cons
Long hours, inconsistent staffing

culture of the business is awful. days are long with not adequate pay. expected to drive "sales" which is just selling company insurance on vehicles when most insurance companies transferred.

Only if there is no other option...
Management Assistant (Current Employee) –  Austin, TXFebruary 27, 2018
The compensation isn't great, and you'll be working your life away. Supposedly it looks good on a resume though.

You will be required to sell. This will also determine your advancement with the company. Sadly though, you'll not be commissioned for any sales during your first two years (or at least a majority of that time).

I was asked to throw five members of my team under the bus in order to be promoted out of the training program.
Pros
Great coworkers
Cons
Work life balance, poor hourly rate, confusing procedures, and sometimes understaffed.

Branch Manager (Current Employee) –  Austin, TXFebruary 22, 2018
If you work hard, the rewards will come. The people who don't succeed at Enterprise are the ones not willing to put in the work and expect everything to be handed to them. I've been with the company 3 years and am working towards my sixth promotion. Sharp contrast on what I was making when I first started and what I am making now. So many opportunities to go anywhere within this company, including international opportunities. The culture is amazing, and if I ever leave - I don't think I'll find one quite like this.
Pros
Company culture, advancement opportunities, benefits, team environment, mentorship opportunities
Cons
Hours and some weekends

Standing all day and dealing with more reservations than you have cars. Management very apathetic to normal workday issues. Most enjoyable part were coworkers. Never stationed at one location more than 6 months, had to transfer between branches in Austin, Bastrop, Lockhart, San Marcos, and ABIA.
Pros
Good friendships
Cons
Moving, long hours, demanding

Management Assistant (Current Employee) –  Austin, TXJanuary 18, 2018
You leave home when its dark and leave work when its dark. You go home and you only have about 3 hours to cook, clean, and wind down. If you can do that much. You do everything, rent cars, do back in work, sale their products, and you're there more than your own home.
Pros
Driving new cars
Cons
