Depends on the unit you work in. I was at a rail terminal, so one day we could be working the full 12 hours in rain or heat or ice, or we could do absolutely nothing except monitor the screens all night, if there were no rail cars to offload.

It took about 3 months from start to finish. But that was for the Pipeline Controller position which included a round of aptitude and agility tests to qualify for the interview. Then they did an extensive background test which took the longest.

No. It is a DuPont rotational schedule. Its a little different to get adjusted to, but once you do, I consider it a good schedule.
