Benefits offered depend on your status as a full-time, part-time, or contract employee, and vary by country. For our full-time, direct hire employees in the US, Epiq pays entirely for every employee’s basic life insurance, basic accidental death & dismemberment coverage, short-term disability and employee life assistance program. Epiq also pays a large portion of the medical and dental insurance premiums to keep employee costs for these benefits manageable. Vision insurance, supplemental life insurance, voluntary benefits, supplemental short-term disability (if applicable), long-term disability, health savings accounts (HSA), flexible spending accounts (FSA), accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity, and premier whole life are all voluntary programs that are made available for election. For your convenience, your portion of insurance premiums and any additional elected benefit programs are deducted automatically from your bi-weekly pay. Medical, dental, vision, FSA and HSA deductions qualify as pre-tax deductions, which means you get the added benefit of lower taxes. Other benefit deductions are after-tax, which means the deductions are taken after income taxes have been withheld.
