Laidback work environment with good work life balance
Program Manager (Former Employee) – Dallas – February 6, 2018
Very laidback work environment with a good work life balance (outside of the summer months). Staff are given lots of opportunities and challenges to develop professionally. Most enjoyable part of the job is getting thank you's from individuals touched by the organization. Hardest part of the job is the lack of structure from top. All the senior staff are old friends and there is no HR, so it is definitely a high-drama, high-conflict place to work. Working here will teach you A LOT and always keep you on your toes.
I absolutely love working here! Good for college students and you can totally take another job that's how much time i had. You get a scholarship at the end of your term if your with the americorps program
ON GROUND SUMMER MEMBER (Former Employee) – Thornton, CO – August 23, 2017
You receive an education award and you get an option between 4 different tasks you do during the summer (only if 21 or older. 17-20 can only be passengers int he car). You make a close friend and the kids really grow attached to you. If you're not willing to stay in the sun for 8 hours and be running around and playing games with kids then you should not become an on- ground team member. Marty is literally the best boss in the world.
