Great place to work, amazing atmosphere
Senior Sales Representative (Current Employee) - Providence, RI - November 16, 2023
Featured review
Erie Home selected this as a representative reviewMy experience working at Erie has been amazing so far.. This is not your typical sales job. There is no cold calling, you are trained to go to preset appointments with customers who already have an interest in the product you provide. Upon hire, management gave me thorough training to make sure I was more than well equipped before I started going on appointments. The training is very in depth, and as long as you study the material and apply it, you will succeed. The office has a very motivating, uplifting atmosphere that brings a lot of teamwork into a career that is so based on individual performance. The goal is always to get better every single day. If you believe in that, and apply it, Erie is one of the most rewarding places to work.
Pros
Teamwork, Leadership, Management, Training

Great place to work
Confirmation Agent (Current Employee) - Sylvania, Ohio - November 27, 2023
I really enjoy it here, been here for over a year now and I love it. Open door policy, great managers, and a great place to grow as long as you are open to constructive criticism and constantly willing to grow. It pays well and I feel rewarded for my hard work. My supervisors have always been willing to sit with me and help me improve my craft so I can do and perform better with each quarter.
Pros
Great team, and great managers and supervisors.
Cons
None to say.

The money is great, management could care less about you. Do not try to help if you hit a dry spell, just let you sink,
Sales Representative (Current Employee) - Scranton, PA - November 17, 2023
A short meeting in am, manager says you’re either doing well, or you suck. Only care about you if you make sales. Won’t help you up in either way. Very hard to get any type of promotion. The managers have comfy jobs so they literally are out of office by 1pm and hitting the golf course by 2pm. Though you can make 4-5k a sale, usually you can grab 1.5-2k per. Only get 1-2 leads per day, and if you’re at the bottom you get the scraps.
Pros
Only the commission
Cons
Managers don’t care about you

Huge potential for success
Sales Representative (Current Employee) - Waltham, MA - November 16, 2023
I've been working as a Sales Rep. for 4 months now. Erie offers a comprehensive paid week of training that gives you all the tools you need to hit the ground running. The job requires a good amount of driving and the need for a flexible schedule, but the commission structure is very generous if you have a strong work ethic and desire to succeed. Management is very supportive and offers remedial training to increase your skills as well as providing bonus incentives to keep you hungry. Would highly recommend to someone looking for a fresh start in sales, or someone with strong communication skills that enjoys meeting new people and offering solutions.
Pros
Generous commission
Cons
Lots of driving, unpredictable scheduling.

Stay Away
Project Coordinator (Former Employee) - Chicago, IL - November 1, 2023
Garbage products pushed by a garbage company who only cares about profits. Management sleeps all day and watches tv, generating BBB complaints, and "higher ups" dont care. Stay far away if you value your time and sanity.

Honest Review
Construction Sales (Current Employee) - Chattanooga, TN - October 31, 2023
This Company is an absolute joke. They completely lies about quality of leads, training, and quality of product. This company will send you 2 hours away without qualifying the lead AT ALL. Completely mislead on requirements of jobs. Company cost me more than I ever thought. Created issues in my home with lies about pay and number of hours worked in a week (6 Days a week 10 to 12 hr days). You are not told at the interview you are REQUIRED to get into attics of 135 to 150 degrees! PAY! There are 3 tiers of compensation based on discounts given. REPAR meaning if something is misquoted, they CHARGE the EMPLOYEE at FULL COST! not even the cost of the actual product. NO GAS, FALSE SPIFFS, UNQUALIFIED LEADS!

None
Cons
Long Days, Bad Leads, Bad Management, No JOB Security

I have nothing good to say about this company, if you want to work with incompetent managers that have never worked in construction apply to work here. My PM had to YouTube how to do roofing, he didn’t even know the right end of a hammer to hold.

Door to Door
Marketing Representative (Former Employee) - Akron, OH - October 21, 2023
You generate leads, you don't sell. Everything depends on your salesman. Now the best place if you're looking for good money, but the people are generally pretty cool

Decent Job
Sales Representative (Former Employee) - Washington, DC - October 15, 2023
Long days. Can make good money, but upper management isn't ideal. They promise room for growth but there isn't ever any promotions. Also unneeded sales meetings that occur daily.

Outside Sales Representative (Former Employee) - Louisville, KY - October 10, 2023
Erie Home is full of terrible management. The marketing team is a joke. Warm leads.... yea not a chance. Some people don't even know you are coming to their house after driving out two hours. Don't do it.

High Pay Potential. Long Hours!
Sales Representative (Current Employee) - Washington, DC - September 30, 2023
The pay and bonuses are great, but you put in 6 day work weeks, with an average day of 10 or more hours. Company is growing fast and lots of room for advancement. Be ready to grind and work hard.

Erie, over promises to their customers and employees and under delivers. Leadership doesn’t follow through in pay. And home owners are taken advantage of. Avoid at all costs. Sales tactics to manipulate customers are celebrated.

workplace culture
Sales Representative (Former Employee) - Mishawaka, IN - September 8, 2023
Accepted the position because I was convinced the culture was very welcoming and friendly. I would have stayed at my other job if I would’ve knew just how bad it actually was, yelled at pretty much everyday, others could tell jokes but if I told the exact same joke, I was being offensive. Thought I found someone I fit in and that was very far from the truth, if all you care about is money, I’m sure you’ll do fine though.
Pros
The pay
Cons
Toxic atmosphere
