This place turned out to be one of the worst IS teams I ever worked for. A discrimination case waiting to happen. I would not apply here if you identify as LGTB, are overweight, or have any mental disabilities.

Great company and great people, but complex work

I loved working at Esker, but I didn't make the cut. I was given a fair chance, but software ultimately is not my wheelhouse, and at nearly 2 years, I was let go. I made all my bonuses, had great feedback from many customers, and was given a generous severance check. It was both devastating and a relief.

While all of my coworkers were great, some of the customers weren't.

If you love software, tracing issues on servers, and are adept in javascript, I highly recommend this company. They do ask a lot, and the software is numerous and complex. Those who are faint of heart should probably steer clear of the technical side of things.
Pros
Frequent free lunches, flexible hours, generous vacation and compensation
Cons
Very steep learning curve, occasional bouts of boiler-room atmosphere.
