Mediocre Job
Lab (Former Employee) - Lenexa, KS - December 4, 2023
This is an okay job for a year or two, but that's it. The pay is not great, and it's a typical 40 hour work week. Benefits are meh. No sick days, only PTO. Co-workers are nice enough. Direct supervisors and upper management are okay. Middle management, though, is terrible. Very micromanage-y. I felt like I couldn't do my job without middle management breathing down my neck. Turnover rate is high. If you last longer than three months, then you'll probably stay for a bit. But before that point, people have either quit or been fired.
Pros
Free snack once a week
Cons
Management

Managers unprofessional on personal level. They set you up to fail! No growth at this site
Technician (Former Employee) - 4th st Winston Salem - December 3, 2023
Not professional, management judges you off personal views. No job security, judges people by size , looks and race. Uses staff to judge other staff members against each other.
Pros
Monday through Friday job. Nothing positive to say
Cons
No job security . Unprofessional

Poor Management
Scientist II (Current Employee) - Rensselaer, NY - December 3, 2023
Management doesn't factor the long onboarding process and employee retention. Performance is not as relevant as it should be. Management is not receptive to feedback.

Interesting work - dead end job
Associate Scientist II (Current Employee) - Easton, MD - December 2, 2023
The work is interesting. I'll parrot many other reviews in saying it's a good starting point. But after four years the pay raises have been pathetic and everyone there is now making less while the company continues to increase profits every year.

No on call pay whatsoever, minimal raises, bad management
Scientist (Former Employee) - Lancaster, PA - December 2, 2023
Horrible pay and minimal raises. Management doesn’t care about your wellbeing at all. On call all the time in case of equipment going out of spec with no on call pay whatsoever. You’ll get calls at 3 am and have to drive to work and fix things with zero compensation. Employee feedback about problematic managers is disregarded. Everyone I worked with was miserable.
Pros
Diversity
Cons
Not trans friendly, bad pay, minimal raises, bad management, no pay for being on call.

Good starter job- but run after a year or 2
Quality Control (Current Employee) - Rensselaer, NY - November 29, 2023
Pros: good starter job to eventually get in the door to a career with an ACTUAL good company. Sometimes the client will offer you special hours to go home early, and free food and other goods (Eurofins does not offer any of this at all, its the client’s doing) Cons: very low pay compared to the client FTE’s who do the same job as you (sometimes you even do more than them) for example: $20-21 an hour through eurofins vs client FTE making 25-30 for the same job. Benefits: health insurance is okay, but our PTO is not great. We get no sick time or personal time, only vacation time to use for everything. We have to use our OWN PTO when the client has a shutdown week(last 1-2 weeks of December) . So they pay their employees to stay home, but we have to save 2-5 days of our own PTO to use during this time. So instead of 3 weeks PTO you get more like 2 weeks. 2 weeks in the whole year for sick/personal, vacation. You get treated pretty unfairly compared to client FTE’s on both sides of the companies. This includes work load (“special assignments” only for eurofins employees, but don’t forget you also have to do the FTE work as well) You get to do more work and take more responsibility without being compensated for it - then there are excuses of why they cant give you a raise or promotion. Get told about all these “cool” activities/events they offer that you almost always have to pay for. Get told to just be more positive when you are overworked, underpaid, and unappreciated. An on-call schedule that doesn’t pay you both on-call pay and over time. The client has their -

Unsatisfied and unhappy
Laboratory Technician (Former Employee) - River Falls, WI - November 28, 2023
Only really good thing is that you'll get laboratory experience. Culture there is toxic and there is resentment towards new people who get hired through contract companies.

Could be lot better
Lab Technician (Current Employee) - Stafford, TX - November 27, 2023
Lots of work. Chaotic. Overtime and they want you to come in on the weekends. Forget about work life balance. High school like atmosphere. Favoritism.

Great place to work.. if you can afford it
Scientist 2 (Current Employee) - Leola, PA - November 26, 2023
The pay is not great and they hate giving raises. There’s also a lot of corporate steps required to get any procedural or promotional changes made, but the flexibility, benefits and work/life balance is hard to beat.

Keep Calm and Roll On
Scientist I (Former Employee) - Morrisville, NC - November 21, 2023
My personal experience sucked because of the client relationship and a bad manager. The opportunity was great, lots of room to grow. It's a lab setting where your input will be heard and respected, and if you see an opportunity for improvement, take it. Just be wary, in the event you take on auxiliary tasks and responsibilities to show yourself as different and better, it could back fire, if not executed masterfully.

Good place to work
Analyst (Current Employee) - North Carolina - November 20, 2023
I like my role here as an analyst. You never do the rent exact thing every day. Can always count on people to help out. I have no set start time, very flexible.
Pros
Environment, benefits, flexibility
Cons
You are expected to use 80hrs of your own pto jan-feb

You will be chewed up and spit out at this company
They'll penalize me if I reveal this (Current Employee) - USA - November 17, 2023
A typical day at work at Eurofins includes being pulled in every direction with no organization or driving principles. You won't know what your job is, you won't know what you need to do to success. You will have tasks heaped on you beyond what you can complete in any period. And you will fail. You will fail the next day, and they day after that. This company doesn't care about you, and it will chew you up and spit you out for the next fool that thinks this is a good company to work for.
Pros
None. The pay and benefits appear decent, but if you are salaried, you will work non-stop overtime (expect a minimum of a 50-60 hour week).
Cons
Everything, You WILL be overworked, You WILL be underpaid, The company will put on a pretty face that they care about you but they don't, the CEO will continue to ruin the company with poor decisions until you quit

Low pay
Pay is the worst aspect. Management will also throw you under the bus. The probable best way to work here would be to adopt an adversarial approach to management and your duties, because promotion isn't really an option.

Overworked
Analyst (Former Employee) - Bradley, IL - November 7, 2023
Make sure you have a steady team before joining. If you don’t, the team will fall apart. You have to wear PPE almost everyday so forget wearing casual clothing.

demanding, draining, depressing
Chemist (Current Employee) - Lancaster, PA - November 3, 2023
This job will drain you of any passion and zest for the field you have ever had. A typical day here starts with looking at your backlog and seeing a mass of past-due samples. Every single day. You laugh at the prospect of running 198 samples on two instruments, which cap at 20 samples, in one day. You decide to do your job anyway, but your calibration check has failed! You can only run 2 out of the 198 samples now. Or! you can do maintenance on the instrument and stay hours late. You feel lucky that you are not your coworker who has been told to run 7 instruments in one day. You decide to look out the window for a moment of peace, but then you remember that your lab has no windows, and you come back to do it all again tomorrow, and the next day, and probably saturday. Your pay is $17 an hour as a chemist (and lower for technicians), which is abysmal considering the amount of work you are expected to do every day. There is no raise for completing a training period. Labs here overcommit and understaff, so work is hardly ever completed on time. Management is super disorganized and inconsistent. They expect the chemists in the lab to be able to meet deadlines, but understaff and offer no positive or constructive feedback, so nobody is motivated to work, and nobody ever knows what they are doing wrong. My experience with management is that they will take any opportunity they get to exercise their "power" over you, especially while you are still in training or newer to the position. Coworkers and I have been yelled at and publicly shamed via email to our entire department for making -

OK place to work
Analyst (Current Employee) - Earth City, MO - October 31, 2023
Pay is below industry standard ($19/hr) and there are a lot of staffing issues. Decent flexibility for scheduling. Not a lot of room for professional growth.

Ok but not great.
Lab Technician II (Current Employee) - Mounds View, MN - October 31, 2023
You will work a lot of weekends. Things are very slow to change and you will almost never be listened to by managment. Job can be very easy but you can work late a lot.

Don't let the free merchandise fool you; Eurofins cares only about the bottom dollar.
Senior Laboratory Technician (Former Employee) - Cambridge, MA - October 30, 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? Nothing. Absolutely, nothing. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? My trainer knew less than I did so it was very frustrating. Eurofins on-site supervisor has anger issues and is deceitful. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? It was only "ok." Honestly, I don't ever want to work for this company again. What is a typical day like for you at the company? Just trying to survive. Do tests. Write in lab book. Go to a meeting or two.
